Hi im Heidi. Am married to David, Mum to Amy, Jessie and Georgia. I am a stay-at-home Mum who loves to craft and leave the housework, lol! We have a houseful of pets.
I am happy for anyone to take inspiration from my ideas but please do not copy any of my designs for inclusion in magazines, competitions etc. Thanks x
Good evening, hope your weekend has been fun, I have had a busy one at work, so my weekend starts now! Here is a Chrimbo card made with this lovely 'freebie' download from Pollycraft Designs . Every Friday, the lovely Paula gives away new images, so do pop over and grab yourself this one. I have used some fab 'My Mind's Eye' papers, QK Flourish, CB Snowflakes, MS Doily Lace punch, Anita's ribbon, Kaisercraft stones and Crimson Bazzill Cardstock.
Also, just over the weekend, you can get 15% off your entire order from Pollycraft and free postage and packing until the end of this evening over at Crafts U Love , so hurry up and grab yourselves some bargains.
My cat Molly is on the mend after her accident, she is getting very bored in her cage and wants to play, so thats a great sign. Only another five weeks, until she can come out. Apparently, you can buy on-line, dvd's to play to poorly animals to keep them amused, they are of fish swimming, mice eating and birds flying! Talk about teasing them!
Right am off to catch up with Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor on Iplayer. Have a fab Monday, thanks for stopping by! Heidi xxx
Hello, am slightly late with uploading this as I have been at work all day and nursing my poorly puss. Thanks for all of the lovely comments, Molly is feeling alot better, is standing up and purring loudly, so she is definately, on the mend!
This week over at Moving Along With The Times , the lovely Hazel had to job of making the sketch and deciding on the theme. To celebrate 'Stictly Come Dancing' back on the box, her theme is 'Strictly Sparkling'. I have put quite a bit of bling on my slider card, unfortunately my photo hasn't picked it up very well. The lovely Julie has offered a great prize this week, so do pop on over and join in!
My card, 'Fairy Doodles' images, fairy, butterfly and sentiment, coloured in with Copic's, 'Pretty Please' papers, Bazzill Turquoise cardstock, Doodlebug trim and Kaisercraft bling. I have edged all around with a 'Momento' inkpad - 'Rosebud' and lots of 'Fairy Dust'.
Have just watched 'Strictly', lots of men this evening. I am loving Ricky Groves and Natalie Cassidy danced her heart out, good start to a new series, looking forward to seeing the Latin dances tommorrow, good for a laugh if nothing else, lol!
Have a great weekend, will be back with a Pollycraft card on Sunday, hugs Heidi xx
Evening, I am so pleased that I managed to get this challenge done this evening, I do love the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketches and I really enjoyed making this card, do pop over to get some terrific inspiration for all of the DT cards.
Card recipe: CC Designs 'Heidi amoung the flowers' stamp, Green 'Bazzill Bling', Magnolia 'Pink Muffin Dot' and 'Pink Chef Plaid' papers, Nesties 'Labels 9', Anita's Green Ribbon, Kaisercraft 'bling', Woodware 'Frond' and small 'Daisy' punch and a metal charm sentiment from my stash box. I have coloured my namesake in with Copic Ciao's.
On a sad note, my beloved cat Molly was, we believe, run over on Tuesday, after being missing for 24 hours. We found her injured in someone's garden and after a long night at the vet's, she has a fractured pelvis and lots of bruising. We have to keep her locked in a large cage for six weeks, so that her pelvis heals. She is very sore today, but a little better, and is eating well. I am sure she will be getting very fat, as Georgia keeps feeding her treats to 'make her feel better' lol! My neighbours have been real stars and were even out in force to help us, I know a couple of them look at my blog, so a massive thanks to them for their help.
Had better go check on the patient, thanks for stopping by, hope you are all having a great week, at least the weather has been pretty good today. Heidi xxx
Hello, here is my DT card for the Moving Along With The Times . My dear friend Clare has done us proud with a great sketch and theme of birthday this week. As you can see I have turned the sketch on its side and I have paper-pieced her dress. This sketch came just in time for me to make my daughter Jessie's birthday card as she turns into a teenager tommorrow. This week, there are two fantastic stamps that you could win, all you have to do is join in the challenge before next Wednesday, 23rd September by 8pm when Clare will choose a winner.
My card recipe : Miss Anya image, My Mind's Eye, Bloom & Grow papers (from the lovely Clare), SU Flower Stamp, QK Bead die, Yam Bazzill Cardstock, Woodware & Hero Arts sentiment stamps, Kaisercraft bling and Momento 'Tangelo' inkpad. My nestie is Labels 4, I think?
I must say a BIG THANKYOU to all of you that sent me cards, pressies and birthday wishes. I have a lovely birthday, David took me out for lunch and then we all went out for pizza in the evening. I was thorougly spoilt by all and am looking forward to seeing 'Chicago' at out local theatre next month, my pressie from Amy, thanks honey!
By the way, no Willow Sketchie card this week. Sharon's Nan is poorly, so it will be back at the end of the month. Hope your Nan is on the mend dear Sharon, big hugs to her.
Lastly, as I said before, it's my lovely daughter's 13th birthday tommorrow, here is a picture taken on my birthday of her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS, LOVE YOU LOTS AND LOTS. We are taking her to see 'Wicked' in London later this month, she will be so surprised as we told her that we couldn't get tickets. What a 'wicked' Mum I am, hee hee!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! love and hugs Heidi xxx
Good evening peeps, wow those Monday's come round quickly! Had a busy weekend, worked on Saturday and spent most of Sunday with my friend Steffi and did some craft shopping, I did treat myself with some birthday money that I had received, but all in all I was very good, for once, lol!
Anyway, here is my entry for the wonderful Pollycraft Monday Challenge . This week's theme is black, white plus one other colour, you don't have to use a Pollycraft image to join in the challenge, just get creative! I have used baby pink. This little image is 'Precious' from the forthcoming Christmas Pixies available from 21st September, ooo they are so lovely! I have used my scallop nesties, sentiment from stash and CB Snowflakes and dot edging, cut out of pink and black Bazzill.
Am being taken out for the day tommorrow as it is my birthday (21 x 2 plus 3, lol!), have a great week, thanks for stopping by, hugs Heidi xx
Good evening, here is my card for this week's challenge over at Moving Along With The Times . My theme this week is 'Christmas', I expect a lot of you are like me and haven't really started the dreaded 'C' cards yet, so this makes it one less to make. The prize this week is a Guest Design Team spot, so please do take part. I hope you like my sketch, I was really happy with this one, the DT girlies have made some wonderful cards/candle so do pop over and take a peek. You have until Wednesday 16th September at 8pm to enter, so hurry up and get creative!

Good evening all, better late than never I suppose! Here are my two DT cards for today, I really must apologise for not popping over to all of your blogs this week, all sorts of things have been happening with me and the family, I will do my best to make up for it over the weekend, I really can't wait to see what you have all been making!
Anyway, here are my offerings. Two totally different cards, one using Pyramage, which I loved doing, I am not a big fan of decoupage, but loved how easily this came together, anyway here they are, hope you likey!
Willow Sketchie Challenge - Lynsey's Sketch.
For this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge . A great sketch from the lovely Lynsey using the super-cute new download 'Precious' available now. Sharon asked me to do a Christmas card, as you can see, she is coloured in using Copics, I have used My Mind's Eye, The Merry Days of Christmas papers and red Bazzill card. The nestie is Labels 9 and the ribbon is from Anita's. The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. The sparkly blue stars are from my dear friend Steffi-woo, thanks Steff!
Moving Along With The Times - Sketch # 11 by Clare C.
The lovely Clare's sketch was an easy one to follow over at Moving Along With The Times . I loved the circles and decided to use one of my new purchases, the little fairy is from 'Fairy Doodles', isn't she just the cutest! I have used some Cosmo Cricket papers, pink and turquoise Bazzill cardstock. The flower is made using two different sizes of daisy punch from Papershapers. Bazzill tulle and a jelli dot finish it off. The sentiment is also Fairy Doodles.
Well, am off to do some well overdue blog hopping, have a great evening! hugs Heidi xxx
