Totally Papercrafts Challenge # 42 - 'Black & Purple'

Good morning, thank Crunchie it's Friday! It's been a very long week for me, so am so glad the weekend has come around again. Friday means challenge time again over at Totally Papercrafts Challenge . This week, the DT have made projects using the colours 'Black & Purple', they are stunning, do whizz over and take a look via the link above.

The lovely Mandi Moore is sponsoring the challenge this week and the prize is a gorgeous set of Stamping Up stamps, (one of the sets on my wishlist).

In addition to this Mandi, has very generously thrown in an extra special offer. For anyone who places a SU order with her during the course of this challenge week they will be entered into a draw to win a co-ordinating bauble punch worth £15.50If anyone would like to order any SU goodies you can visit her blog.

To my DT creation, I have altered a purple candle. I brought it at ASDA and OMG it's smell of berries, is just gorgeous! I have wrapped around it, a Black Bazzill Smootie band, with punched edges from my new EK 'wave' punch and some black silk ribbon. Have cut out two Nestibility shapes and attached together with a purple stoned brad. Stamped up my new lush LOTV stamp and sentiment circle stamp and edged them with my Momento 'Grape Jelly'. The image is coloured in with Promarkers and have added some small MS snowflakes and clear stones. My friend Sharon loves candles, so I will probably give it to her. We often go candle smelling at a local shop here, yep people watching do think we are barmy, but Yankee candles are so scrummy, lol!

Georgia is off of school today, she has a temperature and a tummy ache, so we have been snuggled up with the cats watching movies, 'Christmas with the Kranks', this morning and now 'Narnia'. I really must get on with my Christmas cards, have so many left to do. I started off the year really well, having made about thirty, but as I have been working alot, I just haven't had the time, I would so love to be organised!

Anyway, have to go get Georgia some lunch, have a lovely weekend and keep warm!

WOYWW???

Helloooooo! Sorry didn't manage to join in the fun that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday last week, it was the first time I haven't joined in since I started back in the Spring. I was up to my eyes in samples & packing for Birmingham, which was fantastic, great to meet so many of my friends at last, putting faces to names etc.,

Well, that time of the week has come around again, if you have been on another planet for the last year, you will not know anything about the lovely Julia , who started this trend. Once a week, a group of mad bloggers share their workspaces and creations. It is truly wonderful to see so much crafting out there. Julia has gathered us all together, her blog is amazing, so inspirational, do whizz over there and take a look and if your feeling brave, take some piccies and share them with us all!

To my desk today, is a total mess! Haven't had time to tidy up and put away my crafty bits & purchases from the weekend, it does give you a nosy at what I have. My dear friend Hazel, couldn't believe that I have fifteen boxes of paper, yes I know I have a paper problem. Is there a group out there called 'Paper Horders Anonymous'??? Well I need to sign up for some sessions, I have to stroke and smell them on a regular basis, well I am coming out and am standing proud lol! No haven't had a drink yet, just high on the smell of some My Mind's Eye that I have recently brought, lol!

Anyway, have been catching up with housework and getting my car MOT'd, Polly Punto passed, yippee!! Her brakes needed tweeking but nothing too major, thank goodness. Stamps, stamps and more stamps, punches, etc., etc., what you can see all needs to be tidied and sorted. I didn't get too much time to shop at the NEC, but managed to pick up some Penny Black's, LOTV stamps, some templates, flowers & a lovely new punch from EK Success.

I also wanted to share my clock with you. I made it at a craft party last night. The design is by the lovely Cary, I have tweeked it very slightly, I just love it! it is taking pride of place on my book case, it is so beautiful, hope you like it? I have been so inspired, am going to find lots of bits to alter and hopefully get finished, lol!

Had better go, school run using a canoe in our bad weather and some DT's to finish.

Have a crafty inspired day!

hugs

Good afternoon, am late in posting this, got back from Birmingham last night and am very tired today but had lots and lots of fun. It was great to meet so many of you lovely ladies that I blog with but especially my dear friend Clare. We have been blogging for two years now and have never met, she told me that she wouldn't be going, so you can imagine the shock with I saw her standing in front of the stand, lol! I will get my own back sweet-cheeks, I will turn up on your doorstep one day, lol!
It was also lovely to meet Fleur & Lou, Lyndsey and Fleur and of course, the lovely Cazz, who always stops by for a chat at each demo I do. Big hello to Darcy and her mum, who I promised I would say hi to, don't forget to send me some photos of your lovely cards.

Right, to my DT entry for Totally Papercrafts Challenge , the lovely Anne has given us the challenge of including 'TAGS' on your creations. The DT have come up with some beautiful creations this week, if you want to be uber-inspired, do pop on over and take a look!
