Little Claire Designs Challenge # 8 'Shaped Cards'

Good morning, oooo it's another long weekend, am so looking forward to spending more time with my lovely girlies and hubs. Craftng and gardening will be on top of my agenda for this weekend, I should be saying that I hope the rain stays around, so that I can craft the weekend away lol! I am really enjoying playing with my new toy a 'Grand Calibur', just want to buy up all of the dies to go with it now, am getting one a month at the moment, and am getting quite a collection, am so glad I took the plunge and treated myself lol!

Anyway, it's challenge time again over at Little Claire's , this week, we want to see your 'Shaped Cards'. You can use any image, but any Little Claire ones would be very welcome and you get to have a blinkie too when you use one on your creations.

For my card, I have made a little Stepper card, am so loving these shapes at the moment. I have used a gorgeous little set that I recently treated myself to. It's called 'In The Garden', I love bird houses! We have got two sets of baby birds in our garden at the moment. They seem to be living in the large Christmas tree that is at the bottom of the garden. I have to keep checking on our Molly though, she has seen them too and we don't want little pressies turning up on the door mat!

Products used on my card : Brown Bazzill Cardstock, paper from 'Summer Breeze' 6x6 paper pad, punches from SU, Linen Thread from SU and have coloured in using Promarkers.

Bold

There is a great prize on offer again, two stamp sets and a lovely paper pad from Echo Park, its gorgeous! You have two weeks to enter, so hurry up and get playing with your shaped cards.

Have a wonderful bank holiday whatever you do,

Take care,

Heidi

A Scrap-page, A Cold & Lots of Crafty Goodies!

Good evening, hope your Friday has gone well? I have spent mine in bed with a bad cold, great for looking through my craft magazines and catching up with some telly though. Sorry I havent been about much in the last week. I have had major pc problems and also work has kept me busy, the Biggin Hill show was such great fun and also chance to catch up with a few crafty friends.

Anyway to my page. I really loved making this, I was invited along to a class the other evening, but didnt manage to go. This is my take on my lovely friend Cary's class page. I love these stamps and the colours together are just fabulous! Photos to be added when I can find some small enough to fit the frames, I JUST LOVE THIS STAMP! Here is a close up of the tag. All products are from Stamping Up.

Whilst at Biggin Hill, I treated myself just a little bit lol! Yep, in fact I went a bit mad this time, not like me at all, I am normally pretty frugal. I have been thinking about treating myself to a Grand Calibur for a while now, the family keep on at me to go and buy it, but it is a considered purchase and with two school holiday trips to pay for, I have been a bit reluctant. Anyway, I gave in and it came home with me along with a die, some sweet little stamps and a huge amount of lovely ribbon & flowers. The only problem now is that I want to buy all of the big dies to go with the machine, lol!

You may see a little CoCo in the picture as well, she is very camera shy and I have to be very quick to catch her. She is ten months now and still hasn't ventured outside yet. I have tried to get her out of the back door, but she just runs inside again. I am quite happy to have her as a indoor puss, should she prefer it. I think she wants to play with the machine too lol!

Anyway, poor old David is busy painting one of the girls rooms, so had better go and get him some coffee. Am hoping to get some painting done too tommorrow, cold permitting! If you are suffering with this awful cold too, get well soon!

Nearly forgot, Happy Birthday to my friend Dee, what a day to have a birthday on lol! I do hope you have had a super day, see you next week.

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for popping by!

hugs

Pear Tree Designs Challenge # 47 'Free for All'

Good morning, firstly soz for the squiffy photo of my little Tatty Button card, I was in a bit of a hurry to catch the light yesterday when I took this, lol! David keeps nagging at me to treat myself to a photo tent, I may have to go buy one today.

Anyway, it's challenge time once again over at Pear Tree Designs and 'Free for All' this week. We are being sponsored this week by Donna and the prize on offer is : 'A Goody Bag of Crafting Bits'. So get making and you can enter the challenge twice, this makes it fair for everyone.

I am also going to enter my Tatty Button card into the following challenges :

Papercutz Challenge - 'Anything Goes'

I have used my wonderful new stamp called 'Tatty Button Sunflowers' that I picked up at Ali Pali recently. Isn't she just gorgeous? God it was so hard to choose just one of her, I loved all of the stamps on offer but I have loved colouring her in so much that, I will have to go buy a few more at the next show I attend.

I have coloured her in with Promarkers. My papers are from a paper pack called ' Up, Up & Away ', Martha Stewart Lacy Border Punch, Sentiment and 'Cake Crumb' cardstock from Stamping Up. Buttons and little ribbon bow from stash.

Have a wonderful bank holiday Monday, am spending mine in the garden, weather permitting and visiting friends today.

luv & hugs
