Sketch Saturday Challenge # 214

Good morning, there is a great sketch (above) to follow this week over at Sketch Saturday . It certainly made me think and here is my interpretation of it.

I have used a brand new stamp and sentiment from LOTV, some gorgeous bright Spring papers from a great pad 'Family Ties'.  Some ric-rac ribbon and brown pearls together finish it off.  Have coloured in with my ever faithful Promarkers and outlined with grey.

This week, The Craft Barn are sponsoring the challenge and the prize is a £10 voucher.

Do pop on over to see the other Design Team makes, they are stunning!

Back tommorrow with a card using the July Club Stamp from Little Claire's.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Owls

Good morning, am here to share with you a card I have made using the fabulous new Christmas stamp from Little Claire.  . Today and Thursday, you have the chance of winning one of these lovely new stamps, which are being launched this week. Just pop on over to the blog.

OMG I really am not feeling at all Christmassy, especially as I am off on my hols soon, but anyone that knows me, knows that I absolutely love owls, so it wasn't at all hard to play with this image.
I have kept this card very simple, just right for me as I have mountains of Christmas cards to make this year.

I have used a great Craftwork Card shape, some Papermania papers, Stamping Up cardstock, wooden snowflakes and brown card candy - simples!  Watch out for this little card in August, when it will be featured in a magazine.

Having a big crafty day and lunch with my lovely crafty friend today, whatever your doing, have fun!

Little Claire Monthly Challenge # 22 - 'Jubilee'

Good morning, hope your Sunday will be a fun filled day with lots of sunshine? We have at last got rid of the floods that have been affecting local areas, but the winds have set in now, which to my advantage, has been great for getting lots of washing done today lol.  We are off abroad in a few weeks, our first family holiday in many years, so am trying hard to get everything washed, ironed and put away before we go to get some much needed sunshine.

Anyway, another month has flown by again and now is the launch of a brand new challenge over at Little Claire's  . The theme is 'Jubilee'. We thought it would be lovely to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee, on-going footie matches and forthcoming Olympics and Paralympics.  So we want to see red/white/blue papers and themed embellies on your cards.  You don't have to use a Little Claire image, but it would be great if you could.
Here is my 'Jubilee' themed card as above.  I have used the following products :

Little Claire 'Loverly Jubblie' 'Daisy Bunting' stamp
Sunshine Sentiment Stamp
Stitches & Buttons Stamp Set
Papermania Portabello Road Papers
Die-Namics 'Fish Tail' banner dies
Die-Namics 'Doily' Die
Linen Thread
Cream Pearls

You have until Friday 13th July @ 18:00pm to enter the challenge, there is a great prize of Little Claire goodies up for grabs, so hurry up and find those 'Jubilee' papers to make up your cards.
Off to get the family fed and as the footie will be on again, had better get making some lists for the holiday and hopefully make some more DT cards.
Have a lovely evening!

Lili of the Valley Cards

Good morning, hoping your 'Jubilations' were wonderful? Ours were a combination of decorating and drinking too much wine.  Great Jubilee concert and even Queenie seemed to enjoy herself lol!

Have been busy making DT cards this week and came across these two that I made for my daughter Amy a while ago and have forgotten to share, so here they are.

Amy moved into a flat with her friend recently and I made this card below for her and Steph, using the Lili of the Valley 'Moving Day' card, some Craft Creations gorgeous dotty paper and a long Stamping Up sentiment.  The flowers are a much loved and over-used punch from Papershapers.

My second card was her birthday card.  She turned 21, so a pocket card was perfect for the occasion. I have used another LOTV image, this time 'Chocolate Box', I really love these little mice, in fact the whole set of them had to come live at my house.  The border, flower and sentiment are from Stamping Up and I have coloured in with Promarkers.

The numbers are from a Cuttlebug Alphabet.

The frame and tab are again from Stamping Up and papers again, from Craft Creations.

Busy day ahead, better get the girls up for breakfast.  Having some furniture delivered today so the wait begins.  They give a time slot and never stick to it, so at least I can get crafting whilst we wait lol.

Enjoy your day, hoping your blessed with sunny weather, happy crafting!

Class Box Frame & Gift Card

Hi there, Happy Jubilee Sunday to you! Did you watch the Flotilla? I sat and caught all of it, wow what a wonderful spectacular! Wish I had travelled up to London with the girls now to see in the flesh, even in the rain.
Firstly thanks so much for all of your wonderful wishes re my new DT position, it was so lovely of you to leave me such fabulous comments, thank you x

Here as promised, are photos of what we made a couple of weeks ago at my last class.  We altered a box frame using stamps, dies and pearls.
The stamps are a little old set and a new bird set, that I love from Stamping Up.  I used a combination of brown and pink inkpads, from Stamping Up and Tim Holtz.  The dies are a Sizziz butterfly one and a Die-namics one of buttons.  We added some twine from Fabulous Ribbons and a Spellbinders flower die for the centre.

Above is a little gift card we made to go with the frame.  Hope you like what we made, my ladies certainly did.  I have had to make a couple more of the original as a friend of my daughters brought it to give to her mother.  Have had a few more commissions too, am so pleased as I really loved making it.

Right, enough of this sitting about lol.  Have DT makes to get on with and I must test drive my new Big Shot.  My lovely well loved Cuttlebug was retired yesterday.  I worked out that if I brought new plates for it, it would nearly cost as much to buy a new machine, so thats what I did.  It had served me well, actually for over five years, so RIP my dear Cuttlebug lol.

Also I must help my lovely hubs, he is busy decorating the bathroom as we had a new set fitted last week.  I will keep him in cold beers and choccy biscuits, so hopefully the job will get done a lot quicker lol.

Hope to be back and will share a card.

Thanks for stopping by, so lovely to have you.
