MAWTT Weekly Challenge # 57 - Lisa's Sketch/Theme

Good afternoon, have been out and about today, took the girls to a lovely park nearby, we had a wonderful walk and did a spot of bird watching. I have never seen a Goldcrest or Nuthatch before, so it was well worth a visit. We then came home, the three of us washed my car and had a water fight, lol!

Please excuse my photo for this challenge, my camera is playing up when I try to load my photos, so this was the best I can do, normal service will resume when my IT guy gets his finger out and plays with it, lol!

It is week # 57 over at Moving Along With The Times . Lisa has come up with a fab sketch and great colour scheme to use when entering our challenge, please do pop on over to the mother blog to see the other DT's gorgeous work.

Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday???

It's a super sunny day here in Sussex today, so much so, that my craft room is so bright it was hard to take any pictures this morning. If you havent joined in our weekly nose of other bloggers blogs, you must do so, it is very theraputic, lol! Pop on over the Julia @ Stamping Ground .

Yes at last I have managed to load my photos, my eldest was playing with my camera last night and had pushed a switch, anyway here is a photo of before with Georgia. Over the last week, I have managed to give my room a lick of paint, well Georgia and I did anyway. She was such a great helper, we got it painted in two days! I didnt realise just how much it needed decorating. The colour is Magnolia and it goes so well with the wooden floor and blinds. I have given you three different views of my new room, so hope you like them?

On my desk, as you can see it is relatively tidy. I am in the middle of making my DT card for MAWTT bits of that are scattered round. There is a new pile of Little Claire stamps which I have been using, making lots of samples. Sorry cannot show you the new stamps yet, they will be out to buy in the next few weeks. Post-it notes which I was going to use to make teacher gifts, I brought them Thorntons goodies instead, of which of course, I had to taste first, lol!

I showed you some lovely russian doll material last week, well I have found a large template, cut out the material and have started stitching so I have started it, lol!

On my wall are some wonderful momentoes of holidays past, I just love the mermaid and boat ones, which I picked up in Rhodes a couple of years ago.

Ok, have lots to do today, am sorting a few of my drawers, tidying some stamps and making more cards and as the weather is so lovely, the girls and I may take a picnic up the park.

Whatever you do have a wonderful day! Thanks for dropping by my blog.

hugs

MAWTT Challenge # 56 - Brenda's Sketch/Theme

Good afternoon, hope you have had a lovely day? First day of the school holidays for us and I decided to keep Georgia busy, we have spent today painting the conservatory, which doubles up as my craft room. She is one of those girlies that has to be active all of the time, which wears me out, so I think the plan has worked, she is now exhausted, lol!

I choose Magnolia to freshen the room up and we have managed to do one coat, hopefully it will be finished tommorrow. Georgia has been a real star reaching all of the little areas that I couldn't reach without putting my back out, lol! It is also giving me the opportunity to clear out some craft stuff, I just have far too much, which isn't getting used.

To my DT card for Moving Along With The Times . It is Brenda's turn this week. We want to see some 'Vintage Pastel's' on your cards/creations. The sketch is a fabby one, which I loved using.

Our sponsor this week is : Lilac Lemon Designs and there are two stamps up for grabs.

My Card Recipe:
Leanne Ellis 'True Love' Image
Khaki Bazzill Cardstock
Papermania Regency Paper Pack
Daisy Bucket 'Sentiment'
Roses from Hobbycraft, soz can't remember who by!
Vintage Lace from stash

Momento 'Rich Cocoa' Inkpad
Promarker Pens

You have until next Wednesday, 28th July 2010 @ 8pm to enter our challenge, so get to it, lol!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Morning, Wednesday again! Firstly, I have been away on holiday, so I am really sorry if I haven't managed to get over to all of your blogs last week. Thanks for the peeps that left me comments, I will make sure I visit everyone today.

Devon was wonderful, great catching up with family, especially my nephews who I havent seen for a couple of years. The eldest of which is battling cancer and will be having his operation next week, so we especially wanted to spend time with him.

Anyway, onto my desk. Havoc is the order of the day! I have been rushing to catch up with all of my DT projects since I got back, haven't managed to do them all, but most of them anyway, lol! The usual suspects are on the desk today, there is of interest, a Bo Bunny Christmas Album that I found lerking at the bottom of my drawer, wondered where that had gone! I have so many lovely Christmas papers, will be covering it later today. I always seem to show you my started projects and never the finished results, so I promise by next week, there will be one on my desk. If you want to join in the madness that is WOYWW, pop on over to Julia's blog and leave her a comment and a link.

My favourite Hero Arts sentiments, glitter glue, Imaginisce papers (just finished using on a project, which will be uploaded this evening), oooo and I have new penpot. Its heart shaped and David handed me it at Tesco's the other day, he is such an old romantic, bless him! It was cheaper than flowers and I can keep it forever, lol!

I also wanted to share my wonderful news with you, as you know I am on the DT for Little Claire's, well Gill had a competition to come up with three cards using the forthcoming range of Christmas stamps. Well, Gill choose my cards (yippee!!!!) and they will be shown in the October issue of 'Craft's Beautiful'. I actually fell off of the chair when I opened the email, and thought I was seeing things. Thanks so much Gill, I am chuffed to bits.

Right, it is Georgia's last day in Year 5, so must get her to school on time. Have a lovely day, thanks for dropping by.

hugs

MAWTT Challenge # 55, My Sketch/Theme

Good evening, I have just returned from a few days visiting family in Devon, ooo its lovely to get away but even nicer to be home! We have had all sorts of weather down there, but it didn't spoil the fun we had, especially this morning when the whole family (twelve of us) spent it on the beach and we all got sunburnt lol! Am slightly feeling hot this evening, but have managed to unpack the Aloe Vera so I hope the glowing stops soon, lol!

It was really lovely to catch up with David's family especially our nephew's who we havent seen for a couple of years. My nephew Alex will be undergoing a operation next week, to remove a cancerouos tumour from his arm, so we will be thinking of him and sending him big hugs.

To the challenge. It's my turn to do the honours and come up with a sketch & theme for Moving Along With The Times . The sketch is very usable and the theme is 'Animals', so we want to see them on our creations. The sketch can be flipped around.

We are pleased to announce that 'Crafty Sentiments' will be sponsoring this week and the prize is one of their new images. I have used 'Toby in a Basket' on my card and have coloured him in just like Georgia's rabbit Toby.

My Card Recipe:

SU Razzleberry Cardstock
SU Papers and Sentiment
Papershapers Flower Punches
MS Butterfly Punch
Large and small Purple stones from Doodlebug
Coloured in with Promarkers

Had better go and get some of our washing done, have three or four baskets to do.

Have a lovely evening!

hugs
