An Absent Blogger

 

 

Good morning, my post today has quite a nautical theme to it!  So I thought I would add this pop-up card that I made in the summer using the glorious Hobby Art stamps.

 

My gorgeous daughter is all moved in to university and is really enjoying the experience.  The lectures have started and I was lucky enough to spend the day with her yesterday, catching up.  I do miss her and am so proud of her.

 

 

I have been up to my eyes in making card samples, getting things together and moving Jess into her University digs and then I was lucky enough to go on a crafty retreat the beautiful St. Ives.

 

 

 

Cornwall is truly great for the soul! Such beautiful views and beaches, I had the best of times, made some lovely friends and wow the projects Sarah and Sue gave us to do, were spectacular!  I will share them on here once I get organised and take some photos.  I got to see St. Michael's Mount, which has always been on my 'see' list, wow what a wonderful place!

 

 

The trip was filled with fun, laughter and the odd hiccup! We got locked out of the house on the first day and then on day number two, my bedroom door wouldn't open, so I had to share a room with the lovely Angela and borrow some pj's from the wonderful Sue.  The night turned out to be a girly laugh fest with not a lot of sleep!  Lots of life experiences shared and now fond memories made.

 

 

 

So thank you to the wonderful Sarah and Sue for organising the retreat, the amazing projects and looking after us so well. Pauline for the shopping and chats, Angela for the laughter and the super fun Chris for the ride there and back.  Roll on next year!

Wildflowers Card

Good afternoon, are you enjoying the rugby? Well, I have left hubs to it and have taken myself off to my craft room along with a huge cup of coffee and the radio.

 

 

 

I have been playing with the glorious new 'September Monthly Special' stamp set from Hobby Art, which is called

 

'Wildflowers' (CS11D)

 

 

 

It is a beautiful stamp set, so versatile. I have teamed the stamps up with some Tim Holtz Distress ink pads and of course, some 'Wink of Stella'.  I have water coloured the bulrushes and seed pods and have added the lovely little sentiment. Ok off back to the craft room, have lots of samples to get done as Jenny is back on the telly in a week.

Little Claire Monthly Challenge and Blog Project

Hello, am sharing a couple of recent makes using Little Claire stamps.

 

The first is my DT tag for the 'Autumnal' challenge over on the blog challenge, which you can see HERE.

 

I have used the glorious 'Hedgehog in Squares', which I have cut into four and spread over die-cut leaves.  I have used a lovely old die from 'Quickutz' which I have had for years.

Here is my blog project card using the gorgeous stamp set :

 

'Butterfly Blossom'

 

I have covered the flowers and butterflies with glossy accents and have decoupaged the butterflies.  The sweet little sentiment is from the new 'Dinky Sentiment' collection.

Hobby Art - Create & Craft Samples

Good morning,

 

I hope you caught Jenny from Hobby Art on Create & Craft this morning.  She is showcasing some lovely new stamp sets today.

 

Firstly, a card using the fabulously funny 'Baa-Humbug'

 

 

and the inside

 

 

Next a contempory card using the new 'Baubles' set.  I have stamped the larger bauble onto lilac card and covered over with acetate.

 

And lastly a little card using the 'Christmas Mice' set, which was the monthly special set for July.

I will be staying in crafting today as the weather here is awful! High winds, heavy rain and freezing!

Little Claire Monthly Challenge # 60 - Christmas in August!

Hello bloggers,

 

Am sharing my Little Claire Design Team card with you today.  A new stamp challenge started yesterday and our theme is 'Christmas'.

 

Here is my card using the gorgeous 'Christmas Westie Postbox', 'Dinky Poinsettia' and some lush papers from the Little Claire 'Dotty' paper pack.

 

 

The sentiment is one of the new 'Dinky Sentiments'.  All of the products can be found on the website HERE and all of the DT cards can be seen on the Little Claire BLOG.

 

Our family are still celebrating this weekend, as my lovely Jess got three A*'s and a B in her A Levels and has got a place at the University of Surrey, to take Psychology. Am so, so proud of her, she has worked so hard and deserves her place.
