Little Claire Monthly Challenge #17

Good morning, am sitting here with my knees knocking as I am sooooo cold! Its very frosty here and I need to go put the central heating back on so that I don't get hyperthermia lol! It doesnt help that I am still in my jim-jams, so after posting this, will be finding warm winter wear to put on.

It's Challenge # 17 over at Little Claire's Blog , the theme being 'Anything but a Card'. I have made another box, this time just one drawer instead of twenty four like my last post.

There is a great prize again this month, stamps and crafting goodies. You don't have to use a Little Claire image, but if you do, you could be the winner of our super little blinkie for your blog.

I have used the wonderful image 'Spikey Flowers', such a pretty little stamp! the box is made out of SU 'Not quite navy' & 'cream' cardstock, have stamped with the same coloured ink pad, the roses are made from a small scallop punch and finished off with a small blue stone. I have also decorated the bottom of the box as well.

Off to get some breakfast. Will be back over the weekend to share some of my class cards with you.

Have a good one!

Little Claire Jan Club Stamp

Happy New Year to you! Hope your new year celebrations went well, thanks for stopping by my blog this evening? We had a lovely quiet evening drinking in last night, Buck's Fizz and watching 'Hootananny', it was lovely and my head didn't even hurt this morning lol!

I wanted to share a couple of cards using the January Club Stamp Set, new out today from Little Claire's . It's called 'At Home' and its such a great little set, it can be used as a new home or new start card, great for new year too!

On my cards, I have used 'Isabelle' papers and various Promarker colours. I have decoupaged the large flowers and have added some font leaves. The second card is a stepper card and the scallop punch is a SU one.

Must catch 'Sherlock' in a minute and I have lots of cards to make, so many birthdays this month! Better get on with them. It is one of my resolutions to get more organised, so far so good. Did you make any resolutions? Let's hope we both stick to them.

My Five Fav Cards of 2011

Happy New Year's Eve! Hope you have had a lovely few days, mine has been very busy, seeing family, shopping, housework but have managed to start sorting my craft room, so that I can re-organise all of my bits and bobs, so organising me in the process, hopefully! New Year is always a bitter/sweet time for me, but as always, I am an optimist so am looking forward to the new, busy year ahead.

Anyway, the lovely Debby wants us to share our five favourite cards, so here are mine, in no particular order.

(1) Have used a gorgeous Little Claire image, I really love bird houses and have made my card using a suspended circle image. Lots of glorious swirls, snowflakes and card candy, love it!

(2) I really love this 'Cutie Patottie' image, it's another gorgeous stamp from Little Claire . Lots of lovely beige colours and papers and a cute little tag 'Red Gingham' stamp.

(3) My favourite image of all 'A Little Bird told Me' which was used on this card for the Little Claire Crawley Day back in October. The colours are so gorgeous together!

(4) Here is one of a set of ATC's that I made back in the Spring. I have used a wonderful vintage set of stamps from Stamping Up, lots of brown ink and cream card, love these stamps!

(5) Lastly, a Teddy Bo card that I made when I was on their DT. I loved being a part of their team, such a lovely set of ladies. Lots of colour on this card, love the bath image especially, just wish I could get in my bathroom for long enough. Bit of a feat with three other ladies in the house!

Right, there are my cards, do pop on over to Debby's blog and check out her cards, they are truely amazing!

I really hope that 2012 is a fantastic year for you and your family. Lots of things going on with my family next year. I still cannot believe that Georgia is at secondary school, this will be her second year, she is doing so well. Jess is doing her GCSE's - go Jess! and Amy has been really working hard, she will hopefully be off abroad again soon, with her fella Harry. She so deserves some time off. David will be busy travelling and I have lots of exciting projects on the go. Whatever the new year brings, I hope it will be happy & healthy for you and yours.

My Fav Christmas Cards of 2011

Happy Christmas Eve to you! Hope you are having a wonderful day, I am nearly ready for the big day, just a few of David's pressies to wrap and his card to make, yes I know Mrs Last Minute!

Anyway, the lovely Debby is asking for bloggers to show their five favourite cards that they have made, there is some wonderful candy to be won if you do!

Anyway, here are mine. Have tried to keep them quick and easy this year, just for a change lol!

I made two of these little LOTV imaged cards, for my lovely friends Dee & Debbie, nice, quick and easy cards, just my style! MS large snowflake punch, Craft Creations dotty paper.

Another LOTV image, with a MS punched snowflake and SU sentiment.

A gorgeous Little Claire image for this card, lots of sparkle too, not that it shows on my awful photo, not my best attempt at photograhy lol!

A vintage telescope card, which my ladies made at my last class. We made a purple version. The stamp used was from Crafty Individuals and sentiments from Red Gingham and LOTV.

Lastly a Humphrey image, which was a magazine freebie, loved using the lace, going to be buying loads more in the new year.

There is my top five, haven't been a great blogger in the last few months, due to DT work and family commitments. Am aiming to change all of that and actually join in some challenges over the next couple of weeks.

All that is left for me to say is, have a wonderful christmas and a very happy new year. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me so many lovely comments over the last twelve months, I have really appreciated reading all of them.

Am off to finish the wrapping, and prep the veg for tommorrow.

Extra large hugs!

Heidi
