Good morning,

Am sharing a quick little card I have made using the gorgeous new stamp set from Hobby Art.  It is the November Special and comes packed with loads of stamps.  It is really thoughtful set and can be used to make those special cards that we all have to send at some time,

Here is the set complete :

I have used lots of purple and yellow 'Wink of Stella' glitter pens, that I love to colour in with.  You can get the stamps and pens HERE from the website.

Lest We Forget

Good afternoon,

Its a really horrible grey and cold day here today.  I am home crafting in the warm, David is busy painting, the girls are at work and I have the radio on loud with wonderful music playing.  I have a few DT cards to get made, a project for work and then some cards for Hochanda for the lovely Jenny Mayes over at Hobby Art.  She will be on the tv again at the end of the month, with some beautiful stamp sets.

I found this card above, in my folder and thought I would share it today as this is such am important weekend.  This set is of course, from Hobby Art and is called 'Commemorative' and I think it is such a beautiful set.  It was drawn by the wonderful Sharon Bennet and to me, it says everything about war.  Wear your poppy with pride tomorrow, I know I will be.

Off to grab another coffee and maybe a biscuit or three!

Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Heidi

Crazy 4 Challenges Challenge # C4C360 - In a Name!

Happy Weekend to you in Blogland!

Here is my last card as a Guest Designer for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge.  It has been lots of fun joining in each week, a huge thanks to the lovely Caz, who asked me.

So as the theme suggests, the challenge would like to see you make a card using your name or initials.  I have used a beautiful little stamps set from Hobby Art called : March Hares.  Having a name starting with the letter 'H' of course, Harvey the Hare had to be used.
You can go see the set HERE on the Hobby Art website.

The ladybird that I have stuck on the front of the card came inside a parcel randomly.  I just had to use it on my card with Harvey.  Not sure where the ladybug came from, but it was so lovely to have him arrive by surprise lol.

Here is a badge I made for one of the NEC shows.  I have coloured him in using Wink of Stella pens and have used the 'Typepad Alphabet' set of stamps for my name.  Have also added lots of 'Platinum' Stickles glitter glue, a must have with the Wink of Stella.

Am off to prep for my class and create & take class this week, lots to do so chop, chop better get on with it!

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my post today.

Hobby Art Monthly Special Cards

Morning,

Oh my, its been a while since I blogged.  Life taking over my time as usual. Both Jess and Georgia are home and its so lovely spending quality time with them.

Anyway, thought I would share a couple of cards I made recently using two of the gorgeous monthly specials from Hobby Art.

Firstly, 'Highland Cattle'.  This was the February Monthly Special set. When they popped through the door from postie, the first image I spotted was the huge thistle.  It is just beautiful!  I have coloured in my card using the 'Wink of Stella' pens.

Here is the full card.

I have created a background using the small thistle and grass stamps and edged with Stickles glitter glue.

Secondly, here is my card used on the project sheet for the April Monthly Special using the lovely 'Riverside' set of stamps.  A gorgeous canal barge and countryside scene set which is great to use to make a scene, as I have done below.

Again, coloured in 'Wink of Stella' glorious glitter pens.  Both sets and lots more other goodies can be found HERE on the Hobby Art website.

Ok off to grab a coffee and then have a few cards to get made.

Have a wonderful day,

Heidi

Garden Birds Card

Happy Monday to you!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  I am sharing a little card I have made using the beautiful 'Hobby Art' - 'Garden Birds' stamp set that I have been playing with this weekend.

If you know me well, I just love birds and flowers, so when I got these in the post to play with, I was dancing around the room!  The amazingly talented Sharon Bennett has designed these stamps for Hobby Art and as usual, I just couldn't wait to stamp them up and colour them in.  In fact, I couldn't put these down and have done other cards, which I will share on my blog this week.

and the inside

Yes, I did got a bit mad with the flowers and cutting them out lol, I do love it!  Have coloured in using Wink of Stella pens and Promarkers and the sentiments are from the Hobby Art - 'Inspirations' sentiments set, which go really well with the bird images in this set.  I hope you can see all of the glitter I have added to the centres of the flowers.  I used 'Mercury Glass' Stickles Glitter Glue.

This weekend, I am so excited to be teaching classes at Make It - Farnborough with Rob, The MDF Man and make and takes with the wonderful Jenny Mayes of Hobby Art at Stamparama - Stevenage, here are the details.

Also, if you are visiting 'Make It' @ Farnborough on Friday or Saturday this weekend, I will be teaching the MDF classes at the show.  There are three different classes to book on, for more information and class project photos, pop on over here via the link : http://make-it.org.uk/workshops.php

If you are coming along to this Sunday, do join Jenny Mayes and I on the stand.  The lovely Jenny will be demoing and I will be hosting the make and takes.  We will be using the 'Garden Birds' stamp set on the cards.

Hope to see you at the weekend, yes it is going to be fun but manic.  I will be the lady topping up often on coffee lol.

hugs

Spring Bird Cards and Competition

Good chilly morning to you! OMG its so cold out there, I just want to dive back under the duvet and not come out!

Am sharing a couple of cards I recently made using the glorious new 'Irristable Images' toppers from LC Designs.  They are great for quick cards and come in an assortment of images, which mix and match really well with all of the lovely new papers that LC Designs have on their website.  Take a look HERE.  You can choose from birds, cats, flowers and silhouette images.  The sentiments used are from the Dinky Sentiments sets available on the website too.

Loving these little bird images especially.  I am a keen twitcher and saw four little Long Tail Tits in my garden this morning (bird on top card), so lovely to have such beautiful wildlife in my garden.

LC Designs has a great competition on their blog HERE.  You can win some of their wonderful 'Splodge' papers, which I have used on my cards above.

Keep warm and have a super day, thanks for stopping by today.
