Little Claire Monthly Challenge # 25 'Straight-Up'

Hello, so lovely to be back in blogland.  I am without a computer as my brand new one has had to go back to the shop to be fixed.  Am very miffed as I have only had it a couple of months and do rely on it so much.  What did we do without them back in the dark ages lol!  Thanks to my lovely Jess who has lent me hers inbetween doing her homework, so that I could load this card.

Anyway, yesterday was my birthday.  I had a lovely family day with David and the girlies.  Got spoilt rotten by family and friends, so much of it crafty bits and bobs and had so many cards they have filled up my bay window.  What a lucky girly I am! I got to choose what I wanted to have for tea, didn't want to go out as lots of the box, so we had fish and chips.  Didn't know that wine went with this particular meal, but I will certainly be trying it again.

Here is my card above for the new challenge over at Little Claire's .  This month we want to see card that stand up, hence the title.  The DT girlies have made lots of gorgeous cards, do pop on over via the link to take a look.  There will be lots of Little Claire goodies on offer, so get creating!

On my card I have used a cute little image called 'Garden Fun', SU cardstock, papers from a new paperpack called 'Blank Canvas', Die-Namics Grass die and wooden buttons and leaves.  The sentiment is one that goes really well with the image and is from the 'Super Six' set of stamps.

Am having a crafty day today and it's uniform ironing day, so have decided to put on the Christmas edition of Downton Abbey to get in the mood for the brand new series this evening, me and the girlies are sooooo excited, have the wine chilling and choccies ready, if you love it as much as we do, enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by,

Heidi

Sketch Saturday Challenge # 223 'Jen's DT Week' - The Ribbon Girl

Good evening, am a little late in loading this card as my server has been down.  The sketch above is another great one to follow and the prize for this challenge is a £10 voucher from The Ribbon Girl.

My card has wonderful new image from Little Claire's from their new club stamp -      available now via their website.

I have been rummaging through my box of crafty scraps and have made my card using them.  Some fabulous papers from a great paper pack, Baker's Twine and a little key charm.  The sentiment is from Little Claire as well which is included in the set.

I had a wonderful time demoing at Biggin Hill, so lovely to see so many familiar faces and catch up. Am busy getting the girls ready to go back to school on Thursday, well Georgia is off to the Paralympics with the school, am so jealous, tickets are so hard to get hold of.

Right, back to my craft room, am busy tidying and sorting as recently brought myself some new cupboards for my craft bits.

Have a wonderful evening whatever you do.

hugs

Sketch Saturday Challenge # 222

Good afternoon, it's brand new sketch time over at Sketch Saturday and it's a really good one as you can see. Am a little late in loading this, am having loading problems again, think my server is the problem, may have to visit my local pc shop yet again,  wish my pc would sort itself out :(

This week at Sketch Saturday we are joined by Sandy at the The Craft Barn

Sandy is kindly giving away a voucher for £10.00 for the winner of the challenge. Do pop on over and take inspiration from the other DT's cards, they are fabulous!

Here is my little card.  I have kept it 'less is more' again, using a gorgeous little stamp from Papermania Urban Stamps called 'Endomologist'.  The Spellbinder nestie is 'Postage Stamps ', the ribbon is from Fabulous Ribbons, the papers are once again Papermania.  The sentiment and punch are from Stamping Up.  Have doodled around the image and have added a couple of black pearls.

Have had a lovely day with the family today.  Have also been busy prepping for the forthcoming Little Claire workshop, so am going to spend Bank Holiday Monday chillaxing, as Georgia would say lol.  We are hoping to go out for the day, depending on the weather.

Have a great bank holiday and thanks for stopping by.

hugs

Retro Buttons & Bows

Hi there, hope you are enjoying your Tuesday? Bank holiday on the way this weekend, so lots of DIY being done in my house.  David doesn't know it yet, so shush don't tell him what I have in store for him lol!

Here is a little card I made at Stamperama - Stevenage the other weekend.  It is using the August club stamp from Little Claire called 'Buttons & Bows'.  I really love this little set, as you can probably tell.  I have made a few samples using it.  I just love all of the little elements, buttons, birds and sewing.

I have used some gorgeous retro papers from Do Crafts called 'Happy Days', the 'Stitching & Button's stamp set also from LC, a great Die-namics border die (also from Little Claire website), some bakers twine and little pearls.  Have coloured image in with Promarkers.

Had a fabulous day out with friends, swimming and a walk around a local park, now back to the prepping for a forthcoming workshop day.

Thanks for stopping on by,

hugs

Little Claire's Monthly Challenge # 24 'Best Friends'

Good morning, wow it sure is hot here in Sussex! Not sleeping very well in all of this heat, it is lovely to have the sun shining but not all of this awful humidity.  My poor animals are suffering too, so I am going to do a rain dance today to clear the air lol!

Anyway, enough rambling, here is my Design Team card for this month's challenge over at Little Claire's .  The theme is 'Best Friend's'.

I have used a gorgeous image called 'Victoria' and have coloured her in with Promarkers. The sentiment is also Little Claire's. I have backed her onto some kraft cardstock a doily and some lovely Craft Creations papers.  Added some bakers twine, a charm, some little die-cut flowers and a die-cut border. Finished off with some cream pearls.

Have lots of prep to do for a forthcoming Little Claire day, so am trying to get organised early (for a change) and get it done.

Have a lovely lazy Sunday afternoon!

Here is my little card, isn't this image just gorgeous! If you want to purchase it, go via HERE

I had a wonderful time demoing at Stevenage last Sunday, it was so nice to meet up with so many familiar faces and lots of new ones.  Thank you to all of my new followers, thanks for joining my blog, I will return the favour and pop on over to get to know you.

Have been in bed with a migraine for most of the day, so nice to get up and get some air. We have some new guinea pigs that we have just adopted from our local Palace Piggy Rescue Centre so must go check on them and have a cuddle or three lol!

Have a fabby evening, are you having withdrawal symptoms from the Olympics, we are.

Rufus the Owl

Good afternoon from a very hot and humid West Sussex.  Just wanted to share 'Rufus' with you, isn't he cute? He is a brand new little stamp from Little Claire and can be purchased for the great price of £2.00 from the website shop.

I have made his little house using a template from Craftwork cards.  Some scraps of sparkly paper, lace and linen thread.  The pine needle die can also be purchased from the LC shop and the wooden leaves are from my ever growing collection.

Must get back to my craft room, lots to do and then hopefully some tidying.

Keep cool!
