Little Claire Monthly Challenge # 36 - 'Holiday's'

 

Happy Sunday!  Hope you are having a restful one? David is still beavering away at the decorating, we are nearly there, just a few pieces of paper left to put up in the dining room. The paper we have chosen is so much brighter than the last and it has really opened up the room.

 

Here is my 'Holiday' themed card for the Little Claire challenge that went live yesterday.  I have used a great stamp set called 'Beach Huts' and have made sand dunes from the kraft card and the papers used are from 'Blank Canvas', First Edition paper pad.

I am a little late in uploading it as I have been laid up with my back for most of the week, so am still playing catch up with some things.  My back was 'usable' on Friday, so we went out for the day to Hampshire.  We went to my favourite author, Jane Austen's house. Lots of great things to see and I learned lots of facts about her family, that I didn't already know.  It is well worth a visit if you get the chance and the little coffee shop opposite does the most wonderful Mocha's, so I was a happy girl :)

Ali-Craft Blog Project - Prima Dolls

 

Good morning, a quick blog post from me today.  Georgia is off to see her friend and catch a film so I am playing taxi whilst suffering with a bad back.  Not sure how I did it, think I was helping David put a piece of wallpaper up and it just went ping! Lots of Arnica Gel and walking will see me right :)

 

Anyway, it is my turn over at Ali-Craft's blog, to play with a Prima Mixed Media Doll.  Ali let me loose with one and I have stamped, paper-pieced and die-cut my way into producing the tag in the photo.  I just love these dolls!

New Swirly Flowers

Good morning, am on the mend today after having the headache from hell yesterday.  Am thinking either too much coffee (more than likely) or paint fumes from the decorating.

 

Anyway, the lovely peeps over at Little Claire's have done it again, and have designed a really beautiful little flower stamp, called 'Swirly Flowers'.  Here is one of my DT cards, I really enjoyed playing with this little stamp.

I have kept it very plain and simple, so that you can see the lovely image. Have paper-pieced some gorgeous little butterflies from the 'Butterfly Blossom' stamp set and the sentiment is from 'Harriet The Pony' stamp set. Have edged all around with a distressed ink and added some lovely little pastel pink pearls.

 

Have a lovely day, am seeing my eldest today for lunch.  Haven't seen her for a couple of weeks, so am looking forward to catching up with all of her gossip lol!

The Smile I Bring .....

 

Good morning, here is my 'Little Claire Likes' card using the gorgeous set 'The Smile I Bring'.

It has to be one of my favourite stamps sets that I have worked with.  I love all of the different images, especially the 'cat chasing butterflies'.

 

I have stamped the smaller images to make a background and then paper-pieced and decoupaged the flowers and butterflies.

 

 

I have managed to use all of the little elements in the set on my card, including the great sentiment 'The smile I bring to you makes me smile too'.

 

The papers are from a lovely 'Lillibet' paper pack and both the pack and the dotty ribbon can be purchased also from Little Claire.

 

The decorating in Jess' room is nearly finished, just have to wallpaper her feature wall.  Then starting on my kitchen this week, hopefully.

Ali Craft Monthly Challenge # 3 - 'Prima Dolls'

Good morning, just a quick post today to share my 'Ali Craft' DT project.  This month, the theme is ' Prima Dolls',  the DT have all been busy designing a project using one of the many dolls available.

 

Here is mine, she is called 'Riley',

 

 

I have teamed her up with some gorgeous 'Prima - Overture' papers,' Lillibet' Lace, pegs & Metal Butterflies.  Have given her a little green pearl necklace and attached some thicker lace at the top of the tag.

 

You have to use a 'Prima Doll' on your entries for the challenge this month, you can purchase them HERE, there are lots to choose from and are great for tags, cards & scrap pages.  The prize is a £15 voucher to spend on the website.

 

Ok off out for coffee then lots of decorating to get done today.

Tea Party

Hi, good morning from a sunny and humid Sussex.  It's going to be another scorcher here today.  I am off out soon to see my lovely friend, get some crafting in and maybe do some shopping.  There will be cake and coffee involved I am sure, so that sounds like a perfect day ahead!

 

 

Talking coffee and cake, the fabulously gorgeous August Club Stamp set from Little Claire is called 'Tea Party' is out today and I am sharing one of my cards with you, the other one will be uploaded later.  The card below is the club pack card for August, so lots of ladies will be receiving a kit to make my card this month, so am very excited!

 

Gill, Georgina & I had a brainstorming session at the last LC workshop and came up with this little set.  I had brought myself some pj bottoms with teacups all over, so I asked Gill to design a set, so we sat and chatted and all three of us, came up with elements in the set.
