Moving Along With The Times Challenge # 2

Morning, wow another scorcher ahead! Bring on the rain, thats what I say! It's due here tommorrow! Anyway, here is my DT card for this week's challenge from Moving Along With The Times . Such a great sketch from Clare (Threadbare). The colour scheme this week is Ice Blue and White, got me thinking I can tell you! I was determined not to go down the Christmas route, so I have thought COOL!

My card : Papers, Bazzill Bling etc. all in cool colours. I hadn't used this little Anya before, I must say she must be my favourite of the three, love the flip flops and sunglasses, really cute! I have paper pieced her dress and have glossy accented her sunglasses. She sits on some Bazzill Bling and Doodlebug paper from stash. I have used a great QK flourish and a large white flower and bling from my stash box, have used an CB embossing folder on the centre and the sentiment is from SU.

Our lovely DT have come up with some stunning cards again this week and there are some great prizes up for grabs. Among which is a two week guest DT slot. Am looking forward to popping over to see all of your entries. Keep cool! hugs Heidi xxx

Mojo Monday Sketch Blog Challenge # 93

Good evening, wow what a sourcher it has been here today! I have worked all weekend, so here is my first challenge in a few days, although it was too hot to craft, I struggled through anyway, lol! I love these challenges over at Mojo Monday Challenge Blog , they are such versatile sketches!

I used a cute little Anya image, My Mnd's Eye papers called 'Pretty Please'. Bazzill black Tulle, black & pink Swiss Dot card and black jelli dots. My sentiment was made with QK 'Lemonade' Cookie Cutter Alphabet, which you can buy for the ridiculously low price of £22.49 from Crafts U Love , hurry they are selling fast! I have coloured her in using my Copics and have added Micro Dots to the flower centres.

Have a great evening, thanks for dropping by my blog, hugs Heidi xxx

Michael Jackson R.I.P.

I couldn't believe the news when I first heard it here on the web. I then turned on BBC world news and they confirmed it. I have always loved his music and have all of his cd's. This picture is how I am going to remember him, I can remember when I first heard 'Thriller', the whole of the night club where I was at the time, went berserk. I have never got bored of hearing it and my daughters play my cd's all of the time. Whether you loved him or hated him, he was a musical genius and personally, his music defined my growing-up years. xx

The Sugar Bowl, Challenge # 13 - Lilian's Sketch

Good evening, wow what a long week it has been!, apologies for not blogging sooner. I have been doing extra hours at work to cover holidays and have been catching up with chores and the family, so not alot of crafting time for me. Anyway, I have made time to make this card for The Sugar Bowl challenge. Great little sketch from Lilian and the theme is that you have to use 'kraft' card or brown and cream somewhere on your card. As you can see, I have gone for colours.

Recipe : Daisy Bucket papers, Brown and Coral Bazzill Cardstock, Gorguss Girlie Stamp, Daisy and button punch, QK Scallop Squares, SU Sentiment, white ribbon and pearl from stash.

Am off to bed soon, working again tommorrow, if you can call it work, I will be watching the fabulous Kim Piggott demoing at the shop tommorrow, I cannot wait! If you are not familiar with Kim's wonderful cards (where have you been???), then please do pop over to see them on her blog, you won't be disappointed! Enjoy what is left of the sunshine tommorrow, thanks for stopping by and for all of your lovely comments, hugs Heidi xx
