Charisma Cardz Thursday Challenge # 8 - Animals

Here is my entry for a relatively new blog called Charisma Cardz . This week's theme is 'Animals'. I decided to use my new stamp from 'Whipper Snapper', called Chester. Some new papers from Magenta, have used a scallop punch, felt brads and some small yellow buttons. The green ribbon is from Stamping Up and the sentiment is from 'Lily of the Valley'. Hasn't the sunshine been glorious today. I was lucky enough to be out in the sun all day, I went on a school trip to a Roman Villa at Fishbourne and the six kids I had to look after, were little angels and we all had a great time. Hope you all have a great weekend! Heidi xxx

Scrapclub - My Family Tree Page

Good evening. Here is our latest make at Scrapclub, a family tree page. It is so great to see just how different everyone's pages are each month. I have used photos of my Mum's parents, my parents, David and I and of course the girls. I found this funny photo of them which was taken some five years ago. They have all changed so much, time does fly! ... Items we used : QK Revolution Branch and Leaves dies, Brown and Green bazzill cardstock, Prima Marketing 'Angelique Collection - Harp' paper. We cut out some birds and flowers from some 'We R Memorie's - Nonsense, Sing Song' paper. We used some 'Queen & Co. - Green pearls' to accentuate the leaves and stamped up 'Imaginisce - Flower Frames' to journal on, lastly a large green button .... We had champayne and chocolate cake to celebrate both Nicky's and Karen's 40th birthdays, so am not sure if all of the pages were put together straight, lol. If you want to purchase any of the items we used for our pages, please go to Crafts U Love . Have a great evening, thanks for stopping by, Heidi xxx

The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge # 20

What a super little sketch Jill has come up with for this week's challenge over at Secret Crafter Challenge . My friend Sharon has been feeling a bit under the weather over the last week, so I have made this for her. This is such a sweet little Elzybells stamp and sentiment. Have used Green Bazzill Bling, Magenta 'Embroidery' paper, green/red ribbon from Stamping Up and have used my copics to colour the image. Have scalloped with my QK Scallop Revolution die and used some corners making use of scraps of the back of the Magenta paper. Hope your having a great Monday, mine has been busy with washing, shopping and crafting in that order, lol. Hugs Heidi xxx

Colour Create Challenge - 'Pink & Grey'

Hello everyone, just a quick post tonight. Have been working all weekend so my posts haven't been able to posts, but wanted to complete a card today. Here is my entry for the weekly Sunday challenge over at Colour Create Challenge . What a great challenge, this week you have to use pink & grey in your entries, this was easy as I brought this new paper and Tilda with Tulips stamp. I have coloured her in with my watercolour pencils and have paper pieced the tulips with Bazzill. The paper is 'Magenta' - 'A little bird told me', have also used Grey and Pink Bazzill. Scalloped a 'Woodware' sentiment. Have used some 'Anita's' pink dot ribbon, a flower punch, grey button and silver jelli dots. Have punched the edge of the grey Bazzill with a 'Fisker's' Daisy punch and have attached a ribbon bow to Tilda's hair. All products except jelli dots were purchased at Crafts U Love . Am off to watch 'Damages', Episode 2. If you haven't caught this series, go watch! Thanks for popping over, Heidi xxx

Pollycraft Monday Challenge # 9 'Pink'

Hello everyone, hope you have had a good Monday? Haven't been up to much today, Georgia has been glued to the telly watching High School Musical III that I had to go out early for, got it for a snip at £8.00 at ASDA, think Tesco is selling it for the same, anyway she loves it, so worth every penny! ... Here is my entry for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge . An easy challenge this week, you have to use Pink in your entry. My image this week is the sweet 'Felicity - Sweetheart', have used with my new paper 'Kaisercraft - Cherry Sorbert', along with some pink and brown Bazzill cardstock. Have coloured in with my Copics, have used my Cuttlebug 'Cut and Emboss - Butterfly' and 'Bloom Dots - Embossing Folder', a large dotty brad and of course, two buttons. There is a great stamp up for grabs, so pop over and enter. If the weather stays nice again tommorrow, we may pop to the park, in need of some clear fresh air and some sun would be a plus. Three Cards to Share

Hi there, hope your weekend is going well? I had a great Valentine's day, was presented with a red rose, some lovely chocolates and a soppy card. I had a lovely curry, cooked by my hubbie last night with some great wine ... Here is the valentine card that I made for David, we didn't go mad this year, I just gave him some of his favourite chocolate and he was happy. On his card I used a lovely little Elzybells stamp, some fab new papers called 'Sweetie Pie Sigh' by 'Bo Bunny', white tulle and heart charm. Some red heart buttons from stash and a cute 'Elzybells' valentine sentiment.

I made this card for my brother Clive's birthday last week. I find men's cards harder to do as I have all girls, but remembered that I had this 'Whipper Snapper' little dog stamp and the rest came from there. I used 'Kaiser Craft' 'Reminiscing - Hold Dear' papers, Anita's turq and brown ribbons and a 'Hero Arts' sentiment stamp.

Lastly, a birthday card for my friend at work Sue who celebrated her birthday last week, she loves these Leanne Ellis stamps. Again, some great 'Bo Bunny' 'Sweetie Pie Swoon' papers, Hero Arts sentiment and a large pink button, simple but effective me thinks. Thanks for your comments and for stopping by, have a great restful Sunday, hugs Heidi xxx

Sugarbowl Challenge # 4 - 'One'

Hi everyone, another week over and half term is here again. Am really looking forward to spending some time with my girlies and getting lots of cards/pages completed, the girls love to craft too and we have lots of projects planned over the next week. Must also get to the cinema, a great new film called 'Bolt' is out, about a mad hamster, a cat and a dog, sounds good fun. Can't make up our minds to see this or the new 'Pink Panther', am a big Steve Martin fan so am hoping the latter will win the coin toss ... Anyway, yet another great challenge from the The Sugar Bowl , this week you have to only use ONE piece of paper, it can be doublesided. As you all may know by now, I love to use more than a few pieces of paper on my projects, so this was a change for me. I have kept the card simple, think the adorable Sugar Nellie image of 'Braveheart' says it all. I have coloured him in using some watercolour pencils and have placed him on some soft pink card and dotty paper from 'Doodlebug'. Bazzill Brown Tulle, a brown brad some Imaginisce 'Petal Pops' flowers and of course some buttons. The sweet sentiment is a 'Woodware' one from a clear set called 'Mixed Greetings' and have finished off with some 'Kaisercraft' Basics Pearls in 'Copper'. Do go take part in this challenge, some great Hero Arts stamps on offer, not one pack but four to be won! Good luck everyone, love and hugs Heidi xxx

Sketch & Stash Challenge # 3

Wow, don't faint here is my second card of the day. Another great challenge, this time over at Sketch & Stash Challenge . You must follow the sketch but can rotate if you wish, you must also list any new craft materials that you have used. I have chosen to move the sketch on its side. I have used a wonderful new download from the lovely Sally-Ann at Love to Doodle , a super fairy from the 'Aimee' Collection. Some Imaginisce Papers from stash, a new EK Success 'flower' punch, Hero Arts sentiment and some other flowers/buttons from my stash box. I have coloured in the image using my 'Whisper' and 'Copic' pens. You can purchase the punch, papers, ribbon and buttons from Crafts U Love . Thanks for stopping by, Heidi xxx

Pollycraft Challenge # 8 - 'Love'

Hi everyone, must apologise as I have been such a bad blogger, as this is my first posting since Wednesday last week. Anyway, here is my entry for the Pollycraft Challenge with the theme of 'Love'. I am loving these new images from the Sherbert range, which are such a great size and a pleasure to colour. I have used some gorgeous 'Bo Bunny' papers, a 'Penny Black' sentiment, Anita's bargain ribbon and an 'EK Success' Flower punch. I have finished the card off with some doodling and of course my favs, buttons..... Well, no snow at the moment but plenty of rain. Think I prefer the snow, at least its more fun, lol! Special thanks to my dear friend Nicky who celebrated her 40th with a great party last Saturday. We had a super time but had a close shave with a deer on the way home, the deer and car survived, but I had to have a strong drink when I got home!... Promise I won't leave it too long between posts, will make more time this week for my blog, have a few birthday cards and a special card for the hubby to make. Hoping you all have a great week, thanks for stopping by! Hugs Heidi xxxx

Did you like the sneeky peeks of the new downloads? Well, welcome to the Willow Sketchie Challenge . This weeks sketch is by the lovely Dawny and the DT's have had lots of fun playing with them. Snowy Day

Hi everyone, here are some photo's from yesterday on Day 1 of 'Snowday, lovely one of my washing line! We do still have lots of snow but the sun has now come out so I am sure it won't be around for much longer. The girls have been home today again, although David has braved the roads and has managed to get into work. The girls spent two hours out in it yesterday, as you can see they made Sam the Snowman and all pelted me with snow, thank god the camera survived the avalanche! Right have to get my butt in gear and do some challenges. Many thanks to all that sent congrats messages to me regarding my DT appointment, was very kind of you all, am looking forward to getting started. Be back later, hope you will be popping back too! REASONS TO CELEBRATE!!!!!

Good evening everyone, thanks for all of the lovely get-well wishes. First reason to celebrate, am on the mend after a horrible virus that has kept me in bed since Wednesday! But apart from a cold nose and cold toes, due to the three inches of snow outside, I am feeling alot better.

Secondly, that I am so chuffed to report that I have been chosen to be a DT Member for the Willow Sketchie Challenge Blog , along with four other lovely crafters, Dawny , Katy , Sally Ann and Sharon . Wow, what a honour, big thanks to Sharon, am so looking forward to working with everyone and am excited about the challenges ahead! Do go pop over to their blogs and feast your eyes on their fantastic creations and do join in on our challenges, it will be great to see all of your ideas.

My dear Jess is poorly with this bug but on an inset day tommorrow, she is in need of new school shoes, so if she is feeling better, we may have to brave the weather and go to town. My dear husband is now back from his travels but is suffering hyperthermia (is there a man's version?) as he has been used to temperatures of 27-28 degrees, brrrr he is a bit cold, bless him! Well, am hoping that Georgia's school isn't going to close due to the snow, so being selfish, want to catch up with some crafting. Have got itchy hands so need to get creative! Am now off to Bedfordshire, before my toes get frostbite, keep warm and thanks for stopping by, hugs Heidi xxx
