Sketch Saturday Challenge # 222

Good afternoon, it's brand new sketch time over at Sketch Saturday and it's a really good one as you can see. Am a little late in loading this, am having loading problems again, think my server is the problem, may have to visit my local pc shop yet again,  wish my pc would sort itself out :(

This week at Sketch Saturday we are joined by Sandy at the The Craft Barn

Sandy is kindly giving away a voucher for £10.00 for the winner of the challenge. Do pop on over and take inspiration from the other DT's cards, they are fabulous!

Here is my little card.  I have kept it 'less is more' again, using a gorgeous little stamp from Papermania Urban Stamps called 'Endomologist'.  The Spellbinder nestie is 'Postage Stamps ', the ribbon is from Fabulous Ribbons, the papers are once again Papermania.  The sentiment and punch are from Stamping Up.  Have doodled around the image and have added a couple of black pearls.

Have had a lovely day with the family today.  Have also been busy prepping for the forthcoming Little Claire workshop, so am going to spend Bank Holiday Monday chillaxing, as Georgia would say lol.  We are hoping to go out for the day, depending on the weather.

Have a great bank holiday and thanks for stopping by.

Retro Buttons & Bows

Hi there, hope you are enjoying your Tuesday? Bank holiday on the way this weekend, so lots of DIY being done in my house.  David doesn't know it yet, so shush don't tell him what I have in store for him lol!

Here is a little card I made at Stamperama - Stevenage the other weekend.  It is using the August club stamp from Little Claire called 'Buttons & Bows'.  I really love this little set, as you can probably tell.  I have made a few samples using it.  I just love all of the little elements, buttons, birds and sewing.

I have used some gorgeous retro papers from Do Crafts called 'Happy Days', the 'Stitching & Button's stamp set also from LC, a great Die-namics border die (also from Little Claire website), some bakers twine and little pearls.  Have coloured image in with Promarkers.

Had a fabulous day out with friends, swimming and a walk around a local park, now back to the prepping for a forthcoming workshop day.

Thanks for stopping on by,

hugs

Little Claire's Monthly Challenge # 24 'Best Friends'

Good morning, wow it sure is hot here in Sussex! Not sleeping very well in all of this heat, it is lovely to have the sun shining but not all of this awful humidity.  My poor animals are suffering too, so I am going to do a rain dance today to clear the air lol!

Anyway, enough rambling, here is my Design Team card for this month's challenge over at Little Claire's .  The theme is 'Best Friend's'.

I have used a gorgeous image called 'Victoria' and have coloured her in with Promarkers. The sentiment is also Little Claire's. I have backed her onto some kraft cardstock a doily and some lovely Craft Creations papers.  Added some bakers twine, a charm, some little die-cut flowers and a die-cut border. Finished off with some cream pearls.

Have lots of prep to do for a forthcoming Little Claire day, so am trying to get organised early (for a change) and get it done.

Have a lovely lazy Sunday afternoon!

Have been in bed with a migraine for most of the day, so nice to get up and get some air. We have some new guinea pigs that we have just adopted from our local Palace Piggy Rescue Centre so must go check on them and have a cuddle or three lol!

Have a fabby evening, are you having withdrawal symptoms from the Olympics, we are.

Rufus the Owl

Good afternoon from a very hot and humid West Sussex.  Just wanted to share 'Rufus' with you, isn't he cute? He is a brand new little stamp from Little Claire and can be purchased for the great price of £2.00 from the website shop.

I have made his little house using a template from Craftwork cards.  Some scraps of sparkly paper, lace and linen thread.  The pine needle die can also be purchased from the LC shop and the wooden leaves are from my ever growing collection.

Must get back to my craft room, lots to do and then hopefully some tidying.

Keep cool!

Merry Kissmas!

Good morning, thank Crunchy it's Friday! It's been a very long week for me, I have been very busy rushing around so today, I am having a ME day.  No girlies, they have gone out shopping together, the husband is at work, even the cats have gone upstairs lol!

Anyway, before I start getting organised and sorting my bag for Stevenage, where I will be demoing, cannot wait :) I wanted to share the last of the new stamps launched this week over at Little Claire's .  This little image is called 'Merry Kissmas', isn't it cute? It is available from today over on the website.

The papers I have used are from Craft Creations and the Snowflake is a 'Cherry Lynn' one called 'Lace Pine' and both the papers and the die are also available from Little Claire's extensive shop. I have added some red/white bakers twine and some white pearls to finish off.  A very  quick and easy card, just right when you have over a hundred cards to finish before December.

Right off to enjoy the P & Q, have a lovely day.

Away in a Manager

Good afternoon, here is another card using the newly launched 'Away in a Manager' stamp from Little Claire's

I have gone a bit blue for this card.  The papers are from a great stack called 'Christmas Joy'.  I have coloured in image with Promarkers, added some foilage, large punched star, a Die-namics button and some linen thread.  The stones are champagne coloured, just lovely!

I have had a lovely morning teaching Promarker techniques and am now shattered. Am off to watch some more olympics and get some cardmaking done.  I will be demoing at Stevenage this weekend, so lots of samples to be made.

Thanks for stopping by here and your lovely comments, they really mean alot.

Afternoon, hope you are having a lovely day? Have been up since dawn, well ok 7am. Had to take Georgia to her early physio appointment. Am glad to say she has now been discharged, which is such great news. Hydropherepy really helped her knees.

Christmas Joy & Silhouette Manger

Good afternoon, day two of the new Christmas stamp launch over at Little Claire's.

Today is the turn of 'Christmas Joy' and 'Silhouette Manger' stamps.  I really love how different these new stamps are, there is something for everyone in this collection.

Firstly, I have coloured in 'Christmas Joy' with my Promarkers.  Added some My Mind's reversal paper, some stamped hearts, linen thread, gorgeous wooden snowflakes and some white pearls. The little sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. I really love this little image, it is quite Scandanavian in style.

My second card is using 'Silhouette Manger'.  I have stamped in blue ink and have used the snowflake a mask on the card base.  The snowflake is a 'Cherry Lynn' one available on the Little Claire web-site, I have added some card candy and some stickles on the snowflake.

These stamps are available to purchase today on the website along with other brand new designs.

I will be back tommorrow with another couple of cards showcasing some more stamps.

Thanks for stopping by,

Polar Hugs & Letter's Snow

Good afternoon, here are a couple of Design Team cards I made recently showcasing the brand new Christmas stamps from Little Claire, which have been launched today.

The first card is using 'Polar Hugs', two cute little polar bears and lots of swirls, it's so gorgeous!  I have used lots of ribbon, lace and mono dots.  Have added just a hint of colour and little cream pearls.

The second card has been made using some lovely Spellbinder's 'Holiday Tag's' dies also available on the Little Claire website and I have teamed up with the gorgeous new Christmas 'Letter's Snow' letters available at the special launch price of £10.00 (rrp £12.99).  This special price is only until Wednesday 8th August, so hurry up and grab yours.

Along with the dies, I have used some Fantastic 'Teal' check ribbon, blue pearls and have stamped some stitching around the card using the 'Stitching & Buttons' stamp set.  Please excuse the little bows, they seem to have a mind of their own and are a bit squiffy lol!

Have had a wonderful day out at a friend's today, my eye is much better so had better get on with some cards this evening. I will be back with another launch tommorrow and don't forget to pop on over to see the other DT cards.

Thanks for stopping by and to my new followers, thanks for joining my blog.

'Spikey Flowers' Blog Project

Hi there, hoping you are enjoying all of the wonderful sport the Olympics is bringing to us.  The girls and I have been hooked with the swimming, rowing and the cycling, lets hope we get lots more gold!

I am taking it slightly easy today, well going slower with the cardmaking anyway lol. I have a burst blood vessel in my eye which is quite painful.  I have some eyedrops which hopefully will start working today.

Anyway, it's Friday again and that means another blog project over at Little Claire's .  I have made the project this week and it is a very quick distressed look card using 'Spikey Flower's'.  If you want to see how I put the card together or to purchase the stamp I have used, pop on over via the link above.
.
Right back to my craft room, have a fabby day!

If your feeling lucky, pop on over to the blog and join in our competition to win a set of these new stamps.

Have made two very different cards, the first one using lilac cardstock, where I have stamped the button all over in a lilac inkpad.  Have added some lilac sheer ribbon, pink/white bakers twine and a little silver scissor charm.

This card is using some gorgeous new Docraft papers, a Die-namics Scallop border die (available to purchase from LC website). Little Claire 'Stitches & Buttons' stamp set and a few cream pearls.

Am really enjoying the Olympics, the girls and I are glued nearly every day.  We have especially enjoyed the swimming and were gutted yesterday and Tom and Peter didn't manage to get a medal, they so deserve it!

Whatever you do this wonderful Wednesday, have a great day!
