Good afternoon, hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday's? The girlie's and I went to town today, to get last minute uniform bits a bobs, we had a fab time, it's not often the four of us go shopping together. As normal I spent far too much, lol!

Here is my first Guest DT card for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge , this week's theme is 'Animals'. I was so chuffed to be asked to join the team for a short while, the other designer's cards are so inspirational, please do pop over and join in the challenge. You don't have to use a Pollycraft image, you will be put in a monthly draw to win a £25.00 voucher to spend at the Pollycraft shop, sorry hurry over and take part!

For my card, I have used this cute new download available for the amazing price of only 99p. She is from the 'Animal Scribbles' range and is called 'Kitty Flowers'. I have coloured her in using my Copics and have matted her onto 'Yam' and 'Rain' Bazzill cardstock and 'My Mind's Eye, Pretty Please' papers. The flowers, buttons and jelli dots are from stash and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. The scallop punch I have used is from Fiskars.

Right the housework is not going to do itself, thanks for stopping by and any comments left, enjoy the rest of the day! Hugs Heidi xx

Hello & A Little Sausage!

Good evening, I have been a bad blogger again! There are definately not enough hours in the day at the moment to cram everything in, work, kids, ironing and blogging! I am envious of all of you lucky ladies that manage to get a card done each day, I aim to be just like that.

Anyway, I made this little card the other day and wanted to share it with you. I have used last week's Pollycraft's 'Friday Freebie', it is such a lovely little sausage dog! Anyone who know's me well, know's that I just love these little dogs, may have something to do with the fact that I am half German. David and I can never agree on dogs, he loves Labrador's, big boundy ones that would take you for a walk! I however, am more for the sedate sort of dog and this one is for me. Also, it is the ideal size to fit through Molly's cat-flap, so less walking! Anyway, here is one of the three that are up for grabs, do hurry though, another freebie will be on offer in two days.

For my card I have used up lots of stash items. A 'kraft' card, brown and yellow bazzill scraps. Some lovely lemon paper, think its My Mind's Eye, not sure though! Kaisercraft brown pearls and some great paw-print ribbon. I have coloured 'Fritz' in with my Copic's and have decoupaged the daisy. The sentiment is from Woodware.

Will be back tommorrow with a DT card, sleep well, I know I will tonight! hugs Heidi xx

Willow Sketchie & Moving Along With The Times Challenges

Hello peeps, long time no post! Have been down in Devon for a few days, hence the lack of blogging this week. The weather was cold and blustery, but we made the most of the lovely scenery and food and had a great time!

We got back on Thursday, just in time to celebrate my daughter Amy's 'A' Level results, our girl did great! She will be going to Chichester Uni (places permitting) in September 2010. Well done Amy, we are very proud of you!

Right, to my challenges. I will apologise now, this post is going to be a long one as I am a few days late with both challenges, I have put them together in one.

Moving Along With The Times .

It is my dear buddie Clare's (Taffy) turn to do the sketch and what a super one it is too! I have used one of my new stamps, which I have had in the draw for a couple of months now, she is a Ketto 'Miss Match' stamp from Stamping Bella. My papers are Bo Bunny 'Delilah - Promise', Brown and pink Bazzill Cardstock, large and medium Papershaper flower punches. Brown and Pink Jelli dots and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards.

Willow Sketchie Challenge

Another cute download from the lovely Sharon , this is called 'Keeping Warm'. Such a lovely little image to work with, am getting into this Christmas card making, lol! The lovely Karen has come up with a super sketch, thanks hun! I decided that my new papers just had to be used, they are 'My Mind's Eye', The Merry Days of Christmas - All Aglow', Red Bazzill cardstock, QK 'Dots' border die, Papershaper scallop punch, Hero Art snowflakes and Doodlebug bling.

I have a day off from the shop today, so we are giving Amy's room a lick of paint and laying some wooden flooring. Better go and give him a hand, or I will be in trouble, lol! Have a super weekend, hope to be back with another card later, if I can get away! Heidi xxx

Elzybells Thursday Challenge # 25 - 'Plaid'

Good evening, the week has come and gone a little too quick again! I treated myself to some new stamps this week, here is one of the cards that I have made with them. This is my entry for the Elzybells Thursday Challenge, you have to use 'plaid' somewhere on your card.

I just love this little Sunflower girl and have coloured her in with some Kohl-I-Noor pencils, oooo they are soooo lovely, I have actually put my Copics down for a change, lol! I haven't made a slider card for ages, the large sunflower was just right to use. The sentiment I had already had in my large box of Elzybells stamps. The cardstock is Bazzill and the paper is some plaid that I found by chance. Have added some bling from Kaisercraft, these stones are so lovely and sparkly, hope my photo shows them off well!

Am off to play some more, this time with my Stawberry girl, have a good evening! hugs Heidi xxx

Moving Along With The Times Challenge # 8

Good afternoon, what a lovely day it is here! Here is my sketch and theme for this week for the Moving Along With The Times Challenge . My theme this week is to make a 'teen card', so I have made mine for my daughter Jess how will becoming a teen in a few weeks. Her favourite colour is purple so, I frantically had to look through all of my boxes of paper to find some. It took quite a while, but then I came across this lovely dotty one from 'Doodlebug'. I decided to make an aperature with the sketch. You can flip it around and exchange some of the embellies, if you wish. I have used a flourish instead of a flower and lots of bling as Jess loves this! Please do pop on over to see what the lovely DT lades have come up with this week. Also, if you want to take part, there is a Guest DT spot on offer this week.

My card - Miss Anya image, coloured in using Spiga & Copic Ciao's. QK flourish, Kaisercraft bling bling, flowers from stash and sentiment from Hero Arts's.

Have to go sit in the garden for a while and make the most of all of this lovely sunshine, hope your able to do the same, have a lovely afternoon, hugs Heidi xxx

OK, the five things I like to do are;

1. Spending quality time with David, Amy, Jess and Georgia.
2. Making cards and creating scrapping keepsakes.
3. Having me time at Costa Coffee, drinking a med skinny Cappachinno.
4. Catching up for a natter with good friends.

Pollycraft Beauties!

Good evening, just had to share one of the new beautiful images shortly to be released from Pollycraft . She is one of the new 'Sweet Dreams' collection. I have made this card for a dear friend and just had to use this little lady. I have had such a busy day, cleaning and tidying Georgia and Jessie's room, David did a car boot sale which cleared some more bits from the loft, and the weather here has been glorious again, so I did make some time to sit out in it for a change!

My card : Cherry Pink and Rain Bazzill cardstock, Abbey Road 'Whirly Bird' papers, Scallop Nestibilities. Hero Arts sentiment, Kaisercraft flowers and pearls.

Off to finish watching 'Jam & Jerusalem' on the box, there are three-one-hour special's, so will be glued to the telly every Sunday. Have a happy Monday! hugs Heidi xxx

PS. Before I forget, many thanks to the lovely Lisa and Jane for your awards, I will upload them in the morning xxx

Moving Along With The Times Challenge - Lisa's Sketch and Theme

Hello peeps, I am a bit late in posting, soz fellow DT members. My hubby came home last night from his trip to Oman and I just forgot the time! Anyway here is my DT entry for this week for Moving Along With The Times Challenge . The lovely Lisa, our newest DT member has come up with a super sketch and the theme of 'Baby'. There is a super prize sponsored by Lisa, so please take part. We will be looking for a Guest Designer soon, so go get making!

To my card, it wasn't hard to choose an image to use, I recently brought this little cutie Anya 'Snuggle' stamp. She reminds me of my Jess when she was little, such a great stamp, these Anya's are so easy to use! I have coloured her in useing my Copics, have mounted her on a Label's I nestie, then onto Kaisercraft 'Cherry Sherbert'papers, Anita's spotty ribbon and a SU sentiment. My yellow button stars are from Doodlebug.

Am off to make the most of my husband, who is very jet-lagged, bless him! Have so many jobs for him to do this weekend, must make a list, lol! What a meanie I am! Have a super day, hugs Heidi xx

Willow Sketchie Challenge - Katie's Sketch

Good afternoon ladies, wow what a hot one it is here! Well, close actually! The girls and I are sweltering as we speak, as there is no air at all, thank god for my electric fan! It has been quite a long week this one, my dear hubs has been away in Oman but is back tonight, yippee! better get used to sharing the bed and the remote again, lol! and my girlies are getting bored and want to go back to school, only another four weeks to go!

Right, here is one of my two DT cards for today, firstly its Willow Sketchie Challenge , great sketch from the super Katie and a sweet new download called 'All I want for Christmas'! Sorry I mentioned the 'C' word again, anyone that knows me well knows that I am not too happy about making Christmas cards in August, but this little image did help me with my card. Also, I gave a home to some new fabby Christmas papers yesterday, they are My Mind's Eye 'The Merry Day's of Christmas' ones, it was hard to choose which one to use first, so have gone with the 'Plaid' one. Along with some Red Bazzill, White sheer ribbon, gold Jelli Dots and some poinsettia's (brought last year, soz can't remember the name), have added some glitter glue and the finished result is simple but effective, me thinks! I was going for a smaller bow, but got a bit carried away, lol!!

Have itchy fingers, need to go colour something with my Copics before I get on with dinner, thanks for any comments left, I really appreciate all of them! Big hugs Heidi xx

Pollycraft Monday Challenge 'Buttons & Bows'

Good evening, here is my entry for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge . This week's theme was set by Ria and is 'Buttons & Bows' which I have included on my door hanger. I am really chuffed to have been asked to become a Guest DT for Pollycraft and am so looking forward to working with all of the lovely Design Team members over the next few months. I love using these little stamps/downloads, so it will be a pleasure to be included, so a big thanks to the lovely Paula for choosing me.

I made this little hanger for Jess & Georgia's door out of Pink & Brown Bazzill card, My Mind's Eye 'Bella Bella' paper using scallop nesties (there are scallops at the side too, bit disappointed that they aren't showing up well). The image is 'Mary Lou - Hello Sunshine!' The sentiment is also Pollycraft, flowers made using a 'Papershaper' flower punch, buttons, ribbon and pearls from my everygrowing stash.

Have had a pretty quiet day, my Jess hasn't been very well, so we haven't travelled too far today! It's been good to catch up with jobs at home and also do some crafting. We did add to our zoo though, the girls talked me into getting some new fish. Sherbert (Shabumpkin), Princess Peach (Fantail) and Squeak (Goldfish) now reside with us and I am sure will be dodging Molly's paw at some point, once she has realised where they are, lol!

Right am off to catch up with some sleep, thanks for stopping by, hugs Heidi xxx
