Moving Along With The Times - Challenge # 19 - Clare's Sketch

To my DT card for Moving Along With The Times . Clare had devised this sketch and I have incorporated it onto a Tri-Shutter card. I have wanted to make one of these for ages and now I can't stop! Have made six Christmas cards today using this style!

Card Recipe : Rain & Crimson Bazzill Cardstock, Bo Bunny papers, PB image 'Xmas Mouse', MS Artic Snowflake and Kaisercraft bling. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I have used some glitter glue on the pine needle.

Hello peeps! Hope you are well and warm? I have been cold for days, am actually wearing socks, am not a big fan of them, so it must be Winter here, lol!
Here is my DT card for the lovely Hazel's sketch/theme this week over at Moving Along With The Times . This week there has to be some text on your papers, as you can see I have been a very bad girl and havent used any, I looked through all of my boxes and nothing was suitable so soz Hazel!

I will be able to let her outside again in a couple of weeks, she doesn't seem to mind too much, she is spending most of her days asleep! No change there then, lol! I have lots of craft bits to do for work etc., so must get on with them.

MAWTT & Willow Sketchie Challenges

Good evening, a double whammy for you this evening! My DT cards for Moving Along With The Times and Willow Sketchie . A little late as I have just had to take Molly my cat, to the vet, as she is a bit poorly. I won't go into details because you may be having your tea, but it's to do with her lower regions. She is ok, but limping due to her pelvis still being very swollen and have found out that she has a chipped tooth as well. Anyway, back to my cards .........

My dear friend Clare (Taffy), (get well soon hun!) had the pleasure of thinking up a theme this week. No sketch but you can enter the challenge using 'Anything but a card'. I have made a nestie book using magnetic sheets under the paper. I have covered my book using 'Bloom & Grow' papers, green & orange Bazzill cardstock. The little witchy-mouse is from Penny Black and the flowers are Prima ones, with the bling from Kaisercraft. The ribbons and green buttons are from stash.

My Willow Sketchie card has been made by using the lovely Zoe's sketch. We have now changed the challenges slightly, you no longer have to use Willow images to join in the fun. Although, I wouldn't enjoy it as much using another image on my DT cards. I had to use these new papers from Kaisercraft, wow they are so gorgeous! They are from the 'Wish Upon' range and are great for Xmas and general cards. I have used green & pink Bazzill, I have embossed a strip using a CB Embossing Folder, 'Snowdots', QK Star nesties and their shadows, Kaisercraft pearls, ribbon, heart charm and pin from stash, I have coloured my Willow image in using Copics.

Right, Georgia needs a bath and I need to do some ironing, thanks for popping by, hugs Heidi xx

MAWTT Challenge # 15 - My Sketch & Theme

Hello! What a lovely, sunny, autumnal day it is here today! It has put me in a good mood for a change lol! Here is my DT card using my sketch & theme for this week's challenge over at Moving Along With The Times . You can flip or slightly change the sketch and the theme is 'paper piecing', a technique which I love! The prize this week is sponsored by me, there are a great set of Woodware 'Special Card' sentiment stamps up for grabs and you have until Wednesday, 14th October at 8pm, to create a card and leave a link for us to pop by your blog.

My card's recipe : I forgot I had this little cutie, Pippi from CC Designs, my friend Ali got her for me for my birthday, so thanks Ali! I have paper pieced her pumpkin hat with green & orange 'Bazzill', also her dress with some scrummy new 'Magnolia' paper called 'So Spooky', 'Halloween Plaid'. Black & green Bazzill and Purple Bazzill Bling have been used to mat and layer. She is coloured in using my Copics. QK leaves, CB Spots & Dots Embossing folder, Hero Arts sentiments and Kaisercraft Bling finish her off.

Right, am off to try to sort my craft room out, been happening for two weeks now, but everytime I start it, Molly meow's for a cuddle, and it gets left so better get on with it! Enjoy the sunshine, thanks for stopping by hugs Heidi xxx

Allsorts Challenge - Week # 21

Good afternoon, wow the weather has been so miserable here in Sussex, it hasn't stopped raining all day! I gave myself some me time today, and decided to enter the Allsorts Challenge . You have to use 'Kraft' card somewhere on your card this week, so that was easy. I have used one of my new 'Forever Friend's' Christmas stamps, which are so cute! I have inked the edges with my brown 'Momento' inkpad and have coloured in my bears using watercolour pencils and a bit of smudging.

My card recipe, London Fog, Crimson and Kraft 'Bazzill' cardstock. 'Silver Snow' Christmas Magic paper from 'Fancy Pants' paper, small Woodware circle punch, Imaginisce snowflakes, buttons, rub-on sentiment and bling from stash.

My cat Molly is much better, thank's for all of your emails and comments enquiring after her. We are taking her for her check-up this week, so hopefully she can come out of the cage for good. She still won't be allowed out for another two weeks, so this is when the fun starts!

Must go start the dinner, have a super evening, thanks for stopping by! Heidi xxx

MAWTT - Challenge # 17 - Clare C's Sketch & Theme and My 1st Year Blogaversary!

Hello, it's my first year blogaversary today, wow that has gone quick! It has been so frantic over the last year, but I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have also made some wonderful genuine friends via this blogging lark, you all know who you are, so I won't get all soppy on you. Only to say, thanks to everyone who leaves comments on here, they are truely appreciated.

Am I the only one who has had probs posting today? My Willow Sketchie card will be appearing later as I don't seem to be able to email. Not sure what is going on, just glad to be able to upload this card for the Moving Along With The Times Challenge . It was the lovely Threadbare (Clare C)'s turn this week. The theme is 'no stamping', this was really hard for me, I haven't used die-cuts for ages now, so thanks Clare for making this super challenging! The prize this week is another guest spot on our team, we have so much fun coming up with challenges, so please do join us and give it a go. My turn next week to do the sketch and theme, so I must get my thinking cap on!

The recipe for my card is this : Small Kraft Card, My Mind's Eye 'Colourful Christmas' papers, Scallop Nesties, CB Snowflake, MS Doily Lace punch, sentiment and bling from stash. I have edged the kraft card with a Versamagic 'Petunia' inkpad. Its a very different card from me, but I am glad how it turned out, even without any stamping in sight!

Had a wonderful day out in London yesterday. Amy, Jess and I went to see 'Wicked' at The Apollo Theatre. Great show! We did some shopping and had a lovely lunch. The only downer was that it has been so long since I visited London, I forgot you have to spend 20p to pee!

Right, must go and play with blogger. Will try to upload my Willow card later, have a good afternoon, hope you all have this lovely sunshine that we are having here in Sussex?
