WOYWW # 56

Morning bloggers, Wednesday again! I just love Wednesday's! It is thanks to the lovely Julia who started this mad craze of blog-hopping to show off your workdesks and creations, and it has taken off slightly well, lol! It's so much fun to pop on over to blogs and get inspired by what these super ladies/chaps make. What did I ever do for entertainment before WOYWW, lol!!

To my WOYWW, there is a slight change to my normal desk layout, I have a poorly fellow living on my desk. Our little old man, Carrie our four year Guinea Pig isn't very well at the moment, and I have to keep him indoors to be monitored and give him his anti-biotics. I am feeling a bit like a nursemaid, and have been up all night tending to him, he is worth it though, we have had him and his sister since birth, so he is a very special member of the family. My craft room is the only place, away from Molly, who keeps on sniffing him, I am sure she wouldn't hurt him, but don't want to take the chance. He is living in her cat box until he is better. Therefore, I have had to move to my dining room table to do my crafting. The family won't get fed this evening, take out is in order me thinks, ooo decisions, Chinese, McD's or Curry????

On my craft mat are some unfinished ATC's that I am doing for a swap, I am using some very unloved stamps that have lived in my stamp box for a couple of years. I am absolutely fascinated by clocks, especially old ones and these reminded me of my dad who used to take clocks apart and show me how to put them back together again, it was so much fun! These are the sort of clocks that he used to fix for friends, arn't they fab?

My stamps are from Hero Arts, 'Antique Clocks - LL106', and come in a set of three, not sure if they are still available, but you should be able to find them on Ebay if not. My inkpads are Momento's - Rich Cocoa and Bamboo Leaves and I need to mind some appropriate sayings etc. to finish them off. ATC's are my new passion, Georgia and I have been busy making loads this weekend, it is so lovely that we can craft together! We will be doing lots of swaps, which Georgia is especially finding lots of fun. If you want to swap any with us, please leave me a message in the comments box and we can arrange this.

Right, am off to do some retail therapy, or I should say that Amy will be doing this and I will be carrying her bags, lol! She has promised me lunch today, so off I go, I am a cheap date, lol! She is going on holiday with her boyfriend soon to Ibiza, so I have to go help her, pick out her wardrobe, what fun!!

Have a super day, can't wait to see what your creating on your WOYWW!

love and hugs

Pear Tree Designs Weekly Challenge # 6 - 'Summer Loving'

Good morning, the weather is glorious here again today, I am spending the day indoors as it is too hot to sit in my garden. Poor Molly has taken to spreading herself out on the patio and not moving for hours, she certainly has the right idea, lol!

Monday means challenge time again over at Pear Tree Designs . There isnt a sketch this week, so you can choose your own, but Donna has given us all the theme of 'Summer Loving'. This has started me singing the words to the wonderful 'Grease' hit, one of my favourite films.

I just love the papers I have used, when I saw the theme, I knew that these would work so well with my chosen image.

I do hope you can take part in our challenge, the prize this week is from a new sponsor Robyn's Fetish Digital Designs , who are offering three digital stamps, so hurry up and get making your cards, so we can pop on over to see them!

My Card Recipe :

Penny Black 'Frolic' Image
Lovely Summary Bo Bunny Papers 'Love Bandit - Whooo Loves U'
Bo Bunny 'Flaminco' Double Dot Paper/Card
Pink Raffia Lace
SU Flower Stamp
Doodlebug Large Pink Stones
Coloured in with Promarkers

As you know by now, I am a bit lapse in putting my awards on my blog, I really do appreciate them when given and am sorry if they haven't appeared on here yet. Here is one from the lovely Shell and I have decided to give this award to anyone that leaves me a comment on here as I have been around my regular ladies, and see that most of them already have this, so if you are new, thanks for popping over here and please take the award with you.

Better go grab some lunch before I have to do the school run. I can't believe that its only another couple of weeks until they break-up. Come September, Georgia will be in her last year of middle school, and I had better make the most of the next year before she grows up and goes off to Secondary School, I will be a bit lost when she does, as she is my last of three :(

Enjoy your day, and the sunshine while it lasts!

What a lovely day!

Good afternoon, what a lovely day it is here today, we actually have a light breeze which is keeping the temperature down, sorry Maree, our turn to be warm, lol!!! Will send the sun back to Oz soon!

Firstly, here is a picture of Georgia's first sunflower of the year, isn't it a beauty! I thought I would add it to cheer you all up. Whenever I see a sunflower, it brightens my day.

Secondly, here is my entry for two challeges today, Allsorts Challenge , theme being 'Embossing' and Crafty Sentiments , using a 'Birthday' theme.

My little easel card has been made using 'Label's I' Nestibility die. I have embossed my card with a Cuttlebug Embossing Die, 'Divine Swirls' and have sanded the edges. The paper is 'Crate Paper', the little image is from the Penny Black 'Hugs Collection' set of stamps. The sentiment is a Woodware one by the lovely Jane Gill. Scallop punch is a Papershaper one, the stones are Kaisercraft and the flowers are from stash.

Am off to watch the footie, may the best side win, thats all I am going to say, being dual-natioinality lol!

LOTV Thursday Challenge # 56

Good evening, its far too hot here in Sussex today! Have had a really slow day, as I haven't been able to find the energy to do much, lol! Anyway, I did manage to finish my entry for the Lili of The Valley Thursday Challenge . There is a fab sketch to use this time, I really enjoyed following it!

My Card Recipe :

LOTV Fairy Image
Pink Bazzill Bling Cardstock
Papermania 'Capsule Collection, Pink Papers x 2
Making Memories 'Cheeky' Flower ribbon (Half price bargain at Hobbycraft)
Cosmic Shimmer on Flowers, if you can see it!
Papermania 'Rose Garden' Butterfly & Sentiment
Hero Arts Pink Heart Pearls
Coloured in Promarkers

Am off to split myself in two, ready for the England -v- Germany match tommorrow. As I am half German, I dread these matches. We aren't big footie fans in our house, but it does get really competitive, when these two teams are playing and I try to stay neutral. Never mind, I am sure that England will win this one lol!

Enjoy your evening, I will be spending mine making ATC's, it's all my friend Debi's fault, since spending the evening making them recently, I am totally hooked!

Thanks for popping by,

hugs

Here is my Birthday Project. I have made a gift box with four cards using 'Gorguss' Girl stamped images, Brown & Blue Bazzill Cardstock, Doodlebug Dot Paper, SU Flower Stamp, Buttons, Linen Thread and stones.

To my competition, all you have to do is 'Guess How Many Buttons' are in the box. The winner (closest to the number by five) will win the candy shown below.

WOYWW # 54

Good morning WOYWW peeps! I have a very busy desk today as you can see, lol! Have loads of projects on the go at the moment. Where do I start? Well, firstly there are some crafty bits on my desk which are to be used for cards for a new DT I have lucky enough to be asked to be on, Daisy D mini-album, ribbons and papers, which has been calling me to be used. Box of Gorguss Girly stamps, being used for a project that will be shown next week, a set of Basic Grey small stamps that will be used for some ATC's that I will be starting today. Also, a little hedgehog of Georgia's called 'Zorro' that she has left with me, a beautiful card from my lovely pal Hazel and my new orchid, which was a bargain at £2.00 from Tesco's. They were going to throw it out, so I brought it home, gave it the kiss of life (not literally, lol) well water, and it has really perked up.

Please do join in the fun, pop on over to the lovely Julia @ Stamping Ground , leave your link so that us mad bloggers can pop on over to see your stash and tidy/untidy desks. A big thanks to Julia for my lovely little pressie that you sent to me, can't wait to show everyone, watch this space, lol!

Enjoy your day, the sun has gone in and it looks like lots of rain here, :(

Thanks for popping by, I will return the compliment!

'MAWTT' DT & 'Passion For Promarkers' Challenges

Hello, firstly, thanks so much to all of you (51 of you in fact) that left me lovely comments on my WOYWW, I have been popping over to your blogs and leaving comments, I have a few left to do, but will get round to this today.

It's another rainy day here in Sussex. Jess has gone camping with the school today overnight, and I think she is going to get a bit wet! Am dreading the muddy washing she will be bringing home tommorrow lol! When I heard from her earlier, they were having problems putting up the tent, hope they manage to sort it out before dark descends, lol!

Anyway, above is my DT card for Moving Along With The Times using Clare's final sketch and I have also entered it into this week's challenge over at Passion For Promarkers , where the theme is 'A Pink Birthday'.

Our sponsor this week over at MAWTT is Lilac Lemon Designs who will be providing the winner of our challenge with a super prize.

To my card : I found this lovely little image right at the back of my clear stamp drawer, she is rather unloved, so I stamped her up, coloured her in and above is the result!

My card recipe is as follows : Rachael Anne Miller stamp, Pink Bling Bazzill Cardstock, SU Pink Papers, Oval & Scalloped Punches, New MS Embossed Zig Zag punch (I love it!) Label's I Nestie Die, Craftwork Cards 'Sentiment', Papermania Pink Bow, Doodlebug Lace and Large Pink Stone. Of course coloured in with Promarkers : Caramel, Satin, Cocktail Pink, Antique Pink and Pear Green.

This post is taking me a little longer to type than usual, lol! The letter 'C' has just popped off of my laptop, so making it impossible for me to touch-type, I am having so much fun with it, not, lol!

Have a lovely evening!

WOYWW # 53

Hello WOYWW's, Wednesday here again! If you haven't joined in the fun yet, please do so, its very infectious! Just take a photo of where you do your crafting and share some stash, if you want to and leave a link over at Julia over at Stamping Ground ,to take part.

Firstly, I must apologise if I didn't get round to visiting everyone's blogs last week, I was in bed with a nasty cold for most of the week, so this week, I am determined to pop on over and take a nosey to all that leave me a comment today.

My desk, well its semi-tidy, due to not using it much, so its become a bit of a dumping ground, lol! I have made a few purchases this week already, some more glue tape, SU sentiment stamp set, Papermania papers and some Robot ones, as I don't make nearly enough boy cards. My box of stamped up RAK images needs a good sort. My mini album made from Basic Grey papers. Anya stamps set to be used on my next card, two Woodware punchs. K & Co. album that I picked up cheaply, will play with that later. Lastly, my usual suspects, inkpads, d-s tape, glue pen and trimmer.

Above is my now tidy, Penny Black draw. Have just seen the odd Hero Arts stamps that have sneeked in there, lol! Penny Black images are definately my obsession at the moment, I am trying to collect all of the cat images, must pop on over to Ebay later to see if I can pick myself up a bargain or three, lol!

Lastly my flower drawer, yep total chaos reigns in here! This is due to my sheer laziness, lol! I have so many flowers, I have trouble shutting the drawers, so I must make that my next project to sort.

Right, off to make the girlies school lunches, then to pack up Jess's things. No she isnt leaving home yet, just going on a school trip overnight camping. She really loves here creature comforts so she isn't happy that she cant take her hair straightners with her, I had to point out that camping normally means no electricity, it didnt go down well, lol!

Have a lovely day peeps, be over to yours later.

hugs

WOYWW # 52 'Happy Anniversary'

Good morning, Wednesday again, but with a difference! It's anniversary week over at WOYWW , and we are sharing with Julia, a whole year of showing off your desks and stash. I am quite new to this all still, but I really enjoy popping over and getting to know so many of you.
Us WOYWWer's were given the task to incorporate this on our workdesks. I have made some flowers from chipboard, ribbon, paper and tissue paper and a little pot I picked up at Hobbycraft. I have inked around the edges and have also inked over the chipboard letters. Hope you can see it clearly, the sun is shining a bit too brightly in my conservatory this morning, when I took the photos.

Also on my desk today are, some Imaginisce new papers, some Hero Arts stamps that I am playing with, my ever expanding pots of Promarkers and Copic Pens.

Have a super day, I have woken up full of cold and typically it would be on a day that I have lots to do. I have dosed myself up with Lemsips and am determined to get all of my jobs done. Also I will be stalking the postman, I am expecting some lovely new stamps to arrive today, so fingers crossed!

Thanks for stopping by,
