An old favourite ..... Geranium

Good evening, just wanted to share a card I have made using an old favourite 'Geranium' stamp from Little Claire .  It's an oldie, but a goodie and a great stamp for all occasions - I love it!

It's available over on the website which from tommorrow, is getting a fabby make-over.  Do pop on over there from Friday lunchtime to take a look.  It has lots of great new features and will be showing off lots of the Design Team samples.

Anyway, to my card.  I have used 'First Edition' 'J'adore' papers, a Dictionary Definition's sentiment 'Mum'.  The care shape is from Craftwork Cards, the punch is a Martha Stewart and the ribbon & pearls are from my stash.  I have coloured in the image using Promarkers and have edged the card and image using a Tim Holtz inkpad.

Have a good evening, am off to find some wine, its been a very long week lol!

Little Claire Launch - Baking Changing Tree

Hi there blogging peeps! Hope you are warm and haven't been affected too much by the snow.  The schools are open here and Jess has a mock GCSE today, so we were up early and out the door.  The roads were clear, so she was able to get to school on time for her exams.  Good luck Jess - English & Geography today, more later in the week!

Anyway, Little Claire are launching their new stamps all of this week, firstly it's the turn of 'Baking Changing Tree', some great little elements to add to the existing 'Changing Tree' sets.  These cute little images are just great for the 'cook's' in your life.  They have cupcakes, oven gloves and all sorts of kitchen elements.  They go perfectly with all of the other original elements.  If you already have the original 'Changing Tree' set, you can add these to your collection for only £3.99.  They are available to purchase now over at the main website.

To my card, well I have used some gorgeous new papers from a 'First Edition' set called 'J'Adore'.  As you can see, I have stamped all of the little elements around a great sentiment from the 'Dictionary Definitions' set of stamps and have coloured in with Promarkers.  All products apart from charm. dies and pearls are available from the Little Claire shop HERE .

Am spending the day in my craft room again, the housework can wait for one day.  Have been up to my eyes in washing and ironing all weekend, not sure where it all comes from.  Think I have one of those wash baskets that just keep producing it from nowhere, just like a book I used to read as a child. It was about a pot of porridge that magically kept spurting out the stuff lol.  Do you remember that book or am I losing the plot lol???

Right, large coffee in hand - off I go!

Keep warm, big hugs

Me and My Plane Card

Hello, its bloody freezing here today, a two pair's of socks day! We have had a couple of inches of snow yesterday and it's trying to snow as we speak here, me no likey this cold weather, makes me want to hibernate!

Anyway, I had my crafty ladies over again this week, I hold a class at my house each month, we have lots of fun and biscuits! Here is the first of three cards that we made.  I really do suffer when making male-themed cards, so it's one of my new year's resolutions to get one made each month.

I have used the uber-cute LOTV image - 'Aeroplane', have coloured in with Promarkers and used Craft Creations papers in green & blue.  The die is a great 'Postage Stamp' nestie and thanks to my lovely friend Maxine, who gave me a quick tutorial, have made a little windmill.  Have edged all of the elements with a brown inkpad and have added two brown pearls to even out the layout.

Have a couple of days with the hubs before he takes a short trip for work, going to get lots of little niggly jobs done that need some muscle and hopefully some shopping in too, all depending on the weather.  Jess has lots of exams at school this week, so whatever the weather tommorrow, we have to get her to school.  Just waiting for the headteacher to let us parents know whats going on with the school, ooooo bloody snow go away!!

Anyway, off to sort the dinner and craft some more. Keep warm and have a good evening.

Little Claire Likes ...... 'Cherish, Hope & Dream's'

Good morning, Little Claire are showcasing the stamp set 'Cherish, Hope & Dream' today, here is a card that I made using the gorgeous set, which can be purchased from their website, or 'The Barn' should you be visiting.

The large butterfly image is so lovely and I especially love the larger image of flowers & butterflies. The three little sentiments are great to use to fill up a space and tie in so well with the gorgeous images.

I have made this pop-out insert by folding so that when the card is opened, it shows off the large images and smaller butterflies.  It is great for a 'special' birthday card.

What I have used to make my card :

Lilac Bazzill Cardstock
Small White Scalloped-Edge Card
Labels Twenty Two Spellbinders Die
White Spotty Ribbon
Clear stones
Momento 'Tuxedo Black' inkpad
Promarkers : Blossom, Rose Pink, Bright Green & Ice Grey I

We have had a scattering of the white stuff today, its so cold that I really don't want to venture out but have promised to drop in on a friend.  Then I must tackle the ironing, I honestly think that I take it in as there is so much to do, I suppose having three girls doesn't help lol.

Ok am off to get on with it, have a great day!

hugs

Little Claire Monthly Challenge # 30 - Sketch & Flowers

Hello, hope your Saturday is going well? I have been spending mine shopping and crafting, especially as the weather here has turned cold and wet, brrrrrr I cannot get warm today so am going to stay indoors.

Another challenge has started over at Little Claire's, the theme this month is 'Flowers' and there is a great sketch that my lovely teamie Gemma has designed for you to sink your teeth into lol!  Also we have given you a picture of some Spring coloured flowers for inspiration.

I have turned the sketch on it's side so that I could use the gorgeous 'Cherish, Hope & Dreams' set that is currently the club stamp for January.  I decided to go mono using a Versamark inkpad and white embossing powder as I have made cards out of every other colour using the useful little set.  I love how the black/white shows off the image so well.

I have stamped out the little butterfly that comes in the set using a black inkpad, doodled around the card and have added some gorgeous ribbon.  A MS butterfly and a black shiny stone from Meiflower.

The prize this month is a fabby five sets of stamps that all go together.  If you haven't seen the 'Changing Tree' range, its great to mix and match all of the elements in the sets to customise your cards.

Ok off to do some more crafting. Whatever you are doing, keep warm! Thanks for stopping by and any comments left.

Made for Men Card

Good morning, thank crunchy it's Friday lol!

I have made the blog project over at Little Claire's today.  I have made a very quick male themed card using the fabulous stamp set 'Made for Men' It has three great images and two sentiments, so a great set for all of the hard to do cards for men.

I used Green Bazzill cardstock, some lovely paper from Melissa Frances called 'Tori'. Labels twenty two die, twine and buttons from stash.  I have glossy accented the glasses, bottle, glass & shoe tips and have inked all around using a great Distress Ink Pad 'Brushed Corduroy'.

My head aches a little today, as we celebrated my daughter Jess' wonderful GCSE Maths result last night - she got an 'A'. So as you can imagine, we are all a bit pleased lol.  She also got an A* in her mock English, so very Well Done Jess!!!

Off back to the craft room, lots of work to get done today. Firstly, a large coffee and slice of celebratory choccy cake is in order me thinks.

Have a lovely weekend whatever you do, thanks for popping by!  I will be looking at wallpaper samples, as we are hoping to get the kitchen and lounge/dining room decorated soon, if I can get David in the mood for some DIY, wish me luck lol!

Cherish, Hope & Dream Card

Good afternoon, hope you are having a good day? I have ventured to Tesco's with the hubs just for a change, the cupboards were so bare, I felt like old Mother Hubbard lol!  So stocked up yet again so the girls can eat everything, it will be so nice to have the house to myself next week when they go back to school, I will miss the noise though.

Just wanted to share a little card with you that I made using the new club stamp from Little Claire's.  Ooooo I do love it so, can't you tell? It is called 'Cherish, Hope & Dream' and it comes with three cute little sentiments.

I have teamed the stamp with some lush paper from Craft Creations, gorgeous cream lace from Stamping Up, a MS Doily Lace punch and some cream pearls.  Have coloured in with Promarkers in orange & khaki tones and then have mounted the sentiment onto some sticky pads for depth.

Do pop on over to see what the other DT members have made using it, the cards are stunning!

Off to get messy in my craft room, have a great evening!

Cat in a Box!

Good morning, just a little post today as promised and am keeping my resolutions slowly. I am very busy in the craftroom in catch-up mode and now also looking after my poor Georgia who now has this flu bug thing. As am now totally fed up with being ill for three weeks, I decided to get to the doctor's early this morning to be told that I have a slight chest infection as well, so am determined to keep busy and mentally get rid of this flu!

I just wanted to share a little photo of CoCo who managed to fit herself into a shoe box yesterday, even after all of the turkey she has been feasting on over the festive period.  Actually, she had most of my Christmas dinner as I just didn't feel like it.

Right, better get off of here and get on whilst I have the energy and the mojo is about!
 Have a great bug-free day.

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my new followers.

Cherish, Hug's & Dream's - January 2013 Club Stamp

Happy New Year! Hope your head isn't hurting too much today lol?  Mine is fine and dandy, I didn't have too much fuzzy stuff,  it was a really lovely family evening - great company, food and telly!

As it's the start of a brand new month, so that means a brand new stamp from Little Claire's .  This month the gorgeous stamp is called 'Cherish, Hugs & Dream', you can purchase it now from the website here .

My first card is a slider, I have coloured my image in with Promarkers and have decoupaged the larger butterfly.  The little sentiments are so cute and great to use to fill up spare card.

Secondly, I have altered a paper bag.  I have stamped up the image in brown onto cream cardstock and stuck to a brown rectangle..  Have inked around the edges and added a few pearls. A large bow, with a huge cream button. Baker's twine, a stamped heart and a little dragonfly charm and tag sentiment completes the bag.

Lastly, a gorgeous scalloped card, green paper and some lovely cream ribbon.  I have coloured in again with orange/green/brown Promarkers and have decoupaged the sentiment over the image.

Did you make any resolutions for 2013? I am going to go easy on myself this year. I set myself so many goals and only managed to complete a few, so here are mine in print, for me to keep referring to lol.

1. Do a blog post each day (well try to anyway lol).
2. Use more of my crafty products and scraps from my box.
3. Try more new techniques and be more adventurous with colours.
4. Cut back on my only two vices : Chocolate & Coffee (hard one).
5. Be more organised!
6. Craft more - make more hours in the day, housework can wait! :)

Ok, fingers crossed I stick to them.  Nothing too major thank goodness.

Have a great first day of 2013.

Heidi
