Pollycraft Monday Challenge # 12 - 'Downloadables'

Afternoon ladies, hope my post finds you all happy and healthy! I have had such a busy weekend, working and sleeping, so its nice to be able to relax and do a challenge or two! Here is my entry for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge Blog . This week, you have to incorporate one of the super Pollycraft downloadables. I remembered that I had the sweet teddy 'Bex', so decided to colour her in using my 'Copics' in lemons and greens as I wanted to use this beautiful paper from 'Cosmo Cricket', called 'Something old' and 'Something new'. The 'Label's II nesties are on loan from a dear friend. The flowers are 'Prima' ones with green 'Jelli dots'. The ribbon is a cream woven tie that was round a new set of tea-towels that I got from ASDA this morning, waste not! and the pearls are from 'Kaisercraft'. My sentiment is a Papermania one which went a bit wonky but I decided to leave it as it looks like it is shadowed. Am off to catch up with some of the housework, the girls will be home from school/college soon, so the house won't be tidy for long, lol! Heidi xxx

We used the QK Revolution Cupcake Die, Bo Bunny 'Sweetie Pie' range of papers, 'Blank Cheque' Bazzill Bling and Doodlebug 'Cupcake' Sugarcoated cardstock. Labels 1 Nestibilities were used to cut out the frames and a Papermania 'Happy Birthday' sentiments stamp. Finished off with some Kaiser pink pearls. We cut out the cheerie's using some scraps of pink Bazzill bling. A big thanks to ladies that came, we had a right laugh! Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mum's out there, hope your being pampered big-time! I have been thoroughly spoilt by my girlies and David. Tulips, three dvd's, Annie Lennox CD and some Sugar Nellie stamps. I got breakfast in bed and some wonderful cards, Georgia hand-made mine. ... Just a quick card for this great challenge over at Daisy & Dandelion Challenge Blog . This week's theme is 'Thank You'. I have used my 'Daisy' stamp and have just stamped her out in brown onto cream card. I haven't coloured her in, thought she looked slightly sepia like this. Have used two of the lovely papers from D & D, brown Bazzill card cut-out with Nestibilities 'Label' die. Some brown 'Prima' Hydrangea's and brown/cream buttons. My sentiment is a Hero Arts one which I found at the back of stamp box ... Just wanted to say RIP Jade Goody, taken too young from a nasty disease which is close to my heart ... have a lovely afternoon, Heidi xxx

Willow Sketchie Challenge - Sally-Ann's Sketch

Good morning everyone, again from a very sunny Sussex. Its Willow Sketchie Challenge . time, Thursdays do come around fast! This week it is the lovely Sally-Ann's turn to come up with a sketch. Her twist is that you have to incorporate embossing of some kind into your card. I have used 'Petunia', a super new download and sentiment from Willow. I have gone with embossed paper, Imaginisce 'Baby Powder - Tiny Tantrum', 'Bazzill - Pink Swiss Dot' and Blank Cheque' cardstock. Have made my own flowers using some 'Woodware' different sized circle punches. Have coloured the edges with a blue inkpad and the flower centres are 'Papermania' green furry brads. I have added some blue and pink/dot ribbon to finish. Do go over to Willow and check out all of the other DT cards, they are amazing ! Have a lovely day, hugs Heidi xxx

Hi everyone, a great new challenge blog has started today. The Daisy & Dandelion Challenge Blog is dedicated to the new stamps/decoupage and paper sets. The theme of the first challenge, is 'New Beginnings'. I have made a 'New Job' card as a friend of mine is about to start one, so thought this was quite appropriate. Please do pop over and take inspiration from what the lovely DT team have come up with. Items I have used for my entry : D & D Marshmallow Bunny stamp, Picnic Patch papers, brown and green Bazzill card, Imaginisce flower, QK label die and 'Maggie' Alphabet, some gorgeous buttons from stash and a little yellow stone for the daisy centre.... Have finished the marathon card make and am pleased to announce that we sold all twenty five cards and have raised lots of money for the school chapel. Have two more cards to make today, my friend's little man and my hubbies, as it is our anniversary this week ... My dear daughter Amy is going to get some of her A2 results today, so am using up lots of nervous energy awaiting her call. She has worked very hard over the last two years, I am so proud of her. She was bullied very badly at secondary and has shown so much courage over the time since, so today is a very special day for us here. Thanks for letting me share with you, and for popping over to my blog. Hugs Heidi xxxx PS. Just got the results, Amy achieved the following : Sociology - A, English - C, English Coursework - B, go Amy!!!!

Happy Birthday Georgia! & Blog Candy Winner

My little Bubby turned 9 today and here is the card that I made her. She has a large grey/white rabbit called Toby so, when I saw this image that my friend Ali had stamped up for me, it was perfect! We took the girls to Brighton yesterday and she chose herself two new bears from The Bear Factory. We had icecream on the beach and had lots of fun especially when David slipped on the rocks and fell into the sea, luckily only his feet got wet, lol. She is off bowling this evening with two of her best mates and then Mc'D's for tea. So thought I had better post this now and announce the winner of my blog candy. Thanks so much to everyone who took part. I wrote everyone's names - all 143 of you onto bits of paper and Georgia pulled out the winner as seen here in this photo.

AND THE WINNER IS .................

Please can you forward me your address via my email : thegreenies@tinyworld.co.uk and then I can post your candy to you. Thanks again to all that took part. Have a lovely week, will upload my Pollycraft card later if I can, Heidi xxx
