Christmas Page - Scrapclub @ Crafts U Love

Just a quick entry today as I have been struck down with a virus and am still feeling a little poorly. This is the first time I have put the computer on as I haven't been out of bed for two days ... As promised, I wanted to share what we made at Scrapclub last week. As always, we had such a fun evening, coffee, brownies and Rocky Road cakes supplied by the lovely Teresa. It was great to see so many different takes on the page, as everyone's photo's are of course so varied. As you can see, we cut around the huge snowflake, altered some super snowflake vellum, and secured some tulle and a charm. Added a stamped journalling circle on a QK Bauble die shape, punched out some circles and QK Snowflakes and finished off with some QK Jacqueline letters, some turquiose jewels and a big turquoise brad .... All products can be brought from www.craftsulove.co.uk.... Have a great week, am off back to bed to conserve my energy, am hoping to have some later to complete a challenge, here's hoping!! Papertake Weekly Challenge - Dawny's Sketch # 7

Another great sketch from Dawn over at Papertake Weekly . I have decided to use my scrummy new 'Alota - Cupcake' stamp. Have paper pieced the cake case and have coloured in using my pastel set of 'Copics'. The paper is Imaginisce 'Twitterpated - Mushroom Fancy'. I have used my glossy accents on the hearts and have added some Doodlebug heart/circle buttons and a pink 'Basics by Kaisercraft' pearl. The sentiment is Hero Arts and have used my QK Cookie Cutter scallops around it, all products were purchased at Crafts U Love . Do pop over to their site, their sale is still on, go grab yourself a bargain! ... Hope you are all having a good week? My youngest has been poorly over the weekend with a tummy bug, so lots of washing if you get my drift! ... Am on a mission to do a challenge a day, so watch this space! Also, I have to upload my scrap page that I created for Scrapclub last week. My camera has been playing up somewhat, so it is a work in progress, big thanks to Tracy who uploaded the photos for me, cheers mate! Hope to have this on my blog by tommorrow, so pop back if you can and let me know what you think. I really do appreciate your feedback on my cards/pages and just love popping over to your blogs to hear all of your gossip, love & hugs Heidi xxx

Willow Sketchie Challenge # 3 - Back to Basics

Hi everyone, hope your Thursday has been good and you have managed to get lots of crafting done? As promised, I have completed this little scalloped card for the Willow Sketchie Challenge . The theme this week is 'Back to Basics' with an added hidden message. Had lots of fun making this little card and as you can see from the two photos, my hidden message is on the flower .... Products used : Bo Bunny papers, Hero Arts 'Japanese Dolls', Craftime red ribbon and a large red paper flower. I have added a small sun charm and have coloured in the image using some of my new 'Copic's' and some 'Promarkers'. Yes, I have gone down the 'Copic' road, after playing with some yesterday. Just a small set to start with, 'Pastel's', but will add to the collection I am sure. They are so easy to use and glide across the image. Right, well am off to go answer all of my emails (26) which have slightly built up, sorry for not getting back to you all earlier, been trying to do a few a day, will reply to all this evening. By the way, I had to give in and eat the blasted mini-eggs, the temptation was just too strong, lol. xxxx

Grumpy old woman seeks mini-eggs!

Evening ladies, I am officially a 'Grumpy Old Woman' this evening. I am having such a busy week, trying to catch up on all of the washing still. I think my neighbours unload theirs onto me, where does it all come from? I have been working again and trying to complete my scrapbook page for my full class tommorrow evening, so please bear with me my dear blogging pals, not enough hours in the day to complete the three cards for challenges that I have on the go. To add to my stress, I was goiing out to my crafting pal's this eveniing but my little bubby, Georgia has come home from school with a temperature, she has just gone to bed full of Calpol, is now asleep and fingers crossed, much better. David is sunning himself (actually working, better put that, he looks at my blog, whoops!) in South Africa so the week is dragging and there is a large packet of mini-eggs (I love them more than air) in my breadbin that have been calling to me all evening. You will be proud of me, I haven't touched them yet, so they can just keep calling, I will be strong! Am on a mission to complete my cards by Thursday am, so please pop back and look-see what I have managed to create. Hoping you are all having a less hectic week? Love, hugs and mini-eggs from Heidi xxx

SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE # 2 - THREE

Firstly, big thanks to Julie and Jane for giving me two more awards, I will upload them later..... The sun is shining here today and I decided to do this challenge with some really beautiful new 'Bo Bunny' papers which I brought from Crafts U Love. They are so bright and cheerful and go so well with some scrummy lemon Bazzill card. The theme this week over at The Sugar Bowl is 'THREE'. Three papers and three embellishments, no more -no less! I have used a beautiful image sent to me by a blogging friend, the above papers, and card. Some 'Prima' Hydranga's, flower buttons and bling brads. I have used a new sentiment stamp from a Hero Arts stamp set. The image was delicately coloured in using my polychromos and water colour pencils.

I have noticed that many of you lovely bloggers have been sharing your craft spaces, so I have decided to share too. Mine is our conservatory. It was orginally built so that the girls could have a room to play/hang in, but my needs were greater as I had so much craft stuff to put somewhere. As you can see, it isn't a very big room, but it is all mine and I love spending time out there, especially with the sun shining. I get a great view of the garden, the bird table and our little pets which watch me craft, our cat Molly is always sharing the table and her fur with me, whilst she watches the birds too. I have a favourite wall (am sad, I know), this is where I hang momentoes of past holidays. I have twelve (bordering on 13) 12 x 12" boxes of paper and cardstock, five plastic storage draws (all full) and a large pink trolley which holds my scrapbooks and paper packs. Various plastic boxes storing my stamps, cards and scraps. I love my little space, I can close the door, listen to all of my fav music and lock myself away..... Right, have the ironing, bathing and dinner to sort, hope your Sunday has been lazier than mine. Thanks for stopping by, have a great week love & hugs Heidi xxxx

Willow Sketchie Challenge - Distressing!

Good evening to all, hope you have had a good Thursday? Mine has been very busy, but have managed to fit in a card for a great challenge over at Fairy Dust Bag , great blog and such a wonderful card by Sharon. Have distressed some of the card and have filed around the elipse to give it the altered look. Have coloured the Tilda image with my polychromo pencils.

The card recipe :
Co-Ordination's cardstock in Brown & Turquoise.
Magnolia Tilda image
Turq & Brown ribbon
Bazzill large paper brad
Hero Arts sentiment
Imaginisce paper
Blue and blue felt flowers
Brown Jelli dots

Wow, can't believe the weekend has come around again so soon. My week has been so eventful but mainly filled with piles of washing and the house looking like a chinese laundry! Georgia had a bang to the head yesterday, which resulted in an egg sized bruise on the her forehead, tough little nut, didn't moan or complain. Amy, my eldest re-took her English 'A' Level on Wednesday. Her grade last year, was a little lower than she wanted, so she braved a re-take, good on her! Jess has been in up to her neck in homework, she has finished it all and has found MSN on my computer, so I now have to share my laptop, know what she will be getting for Christmas, lol! Time to let her loose on my pc, thanks for all of your comments, they are very much appreciated, and in return, I will pop over to your blog and recepricate, hugs Heidi xx

Twit-Twoo!

Good day ladies, hope you haven't been caught in the rain today wherever you may be! I will complete a challenge later today, but I have however made this card using some new stamp sets that were a Christmas pressie to myself, have paper pieced the owl's eyes and tum. These little stamps can be brought at Crafts U Love . I have used We R Memory Keepers papers, an orange scalloped card and some Doodlebug stones. My new toy (washing machine) arrived this morning, thank goodness, was slowly running out of clean clothes. All I have to do is navigate my way around the new dials and settings. Sketch & Stash Challenge # 1

Wow yet another new challenge blog, I am in craft heaven! Pop on over to Sketch & Stash Challenge Blog . You have to use the sketch given and incorporate any new or nearly new products you may have. You may rotate the sketch keeping its shape in tact. I have turned mine onto it's side and have used some new papers and flowers that I was given for Chrimbo. Also my dear friend Lyndsey sent me this super image from Penny Black, think her name is 'Ginger'? Have used a super cerise scallop card, some Imaginease paper, Prima Hydranga's, some little pink flowers from stash and black Doodlebug furry brads. Have attached a georg pink clip and some little black/white plastic flowers. My sentiment is an old one from Woodware.

Have had a mixed day today. Work was good, very busy. We got a super letter from Jess's headmaster congratulating her on 100 percent attendance and on her great work in class and homework. He gave her 500 house points, what a little star she is, I am so proud! Got home and then my washing machine leaked everywhere and started walking across the kitchen. Enough is enough! I have put up with leaks and creaks for a couple of months now, so got straight on the web and have ordered another one. Only problem is they won't deliver until Tuesday. Never mind, I got a good price and my bessie mate Sharon is gonna wash the school uniform for me, won't be cruel and make her wash my smalls, lol. Anyway, glad I made time for this little card, am chuffed with how it turned out after all the stress. Hope you like it? PS wasn't the blogger poorly last night? I know of so many ladies that had problems, lets hope it was a one off hey! Night night, Heidi xxx

Scrapbook Sisters, Valentine's Day Card Challenge

Hi everyone, hoping your Wednesday has been as good as mine. Firstly, I have been awarded TWICE with the same award. Two super ladies with fantastic blogs, Teresa and Justine . They make some wonderful cards that really inspire me, and are such lovely, fun girls, a pleasure to know!

Next, I went and had my haircut, my hairdresser is so lovely and always gives my head a super massage, so I was well relaxed to deal with the rest of the day. I managed to get some shopping done, do lots of housework and complete yet another challenge. I also had an extra long lovely, fun phone call with my dear friend Susie, which was a right hoot, wow that lady can chat! (got you back Susie, lol). Now to the card, today's is a new challenge over at Scrapbook Sisters . They are calling for 'Valentine's Day' Cards which will be put on their blog and their forum will choose a winner. If you haven't been over to their blog, please do, great chat and inspiration to be had! The recipe - Red Bazzill Card, new 'Love' papers from Sandylioin and yet another gorge image from Penny Black. Have coloured in with my new Polychromo pencils that Santa brought me, I love the shades they give (thanks Susie xxx) some red ribbon and a few red pearly stones. The card can be opened and tied at the front and can be written inside too. Am so worn out now, am off to work tommorrow so must get some rest. Hugs Heidi xxx

I have completed Challenge III of the week, but again my photographic skills need some practise, slightly wonky but hey ho! This time a super one at Papertake Weekly Challenge , the theme 'Seeing Spots'! I have wanted to make up this style of card for ages, and have taken a long shot picture to get all of the detail in. The recipe - Pink Bazzill cardstock, 'My Mind's Eye' scrummy dotty papers, Penny Black Hedgehog stamps and sentiment, Pink flowers and pink brads. I have coloured in using my Promarker pens and have doodled some more, hope you like? ... The toes have made a full recovery, thanks again for all of your advice. I think the rainbow coloured legwarmers, borrowed from my dear daughter Jessie helped, they did look rather fetching too, lol. Bye for now, Heidi xxx

Pollycraft Monday Challenge # 6 - Doodles!

Hi everyone, hope where ever you are, you are keeping warm! Thanks for your kind comments regarding my cold tootsies! They are still suffering, and as we had a dusting of snow today, they were really very cold. I have a lavender heat pad which will be firmly wrapped around them in bed tonight, so am hoping this will do the trick.... My girlies and hubby all went back to school/college/work today, so the house was very quiet, I did miss them though! I am trying to do a challenge every day this week and just loved completing this one. Great theme, doodling, I am forever doing doodles whilst on the phone, so great to use it in another form for a change. Pop over to the Pollycraft Monday Challenge Blog and take a look at all of the lovely DT designs. I made this card using a lovely Pollycraft image, her name is Felicity - Sweetheart. Some Imaginese paper and yellow Bazzill bling. Bazzill orange tulle which is super to work with, a Prima Hydranga flower, a silver heart charm and some super buttons. Have doodled some insects around my image.
