The lovely Crafting Amy has given me this super award. I love this lady and her little pooch, wish I had her figure lol! Nevermind, once I get on my Wii Fit, there will be no stopping me!

Sketch Saturday Challenge - Your Choice!

My photo looks slightly wonky, soz. I have completed the Sketch Saturday Challenge which was your choice of any of the sketches from 2008. I have decided to use Challenge # 29, a great sketch which uses lots of scallops. I have used one of my new super-duper stamps from Sugar Nellie, some Papermania papers and a turquiose scallop card. I coloured in using distressed inkpads and have covered with glossy accents and loads of lovely buttons.

Forgot to say a big thankyou to all of my lovely blogging friends who sent me Chrismtas pressies, you all know who you are! I was chuffed to receive them all, thanks so much for adding to my ever-growing craft stash. Thanks for stopping by and for any comments left, hugs Heidi xxxx

I feel like a change!

Another Christmas has come and gone and I always get itchy feet at this time of year. Not sure whether this is due to just year end or change in general. I always want to decorate or make big changes to everything in sight. I am so looking forward to Spring, all of those lovely flowers popping up and the birds singing and hopefully the sun shining.

On that note, I have volunteed David to do some decorating around the house. First of all is Amy's room. We will have to decorate around her, as she is revising for her final 'A' Levels for exams starting in January. Next will be our room, just need a lick of paint but we will be putting some lovely laminate flooring down as our carpet has seen better days.

Back to Xmas, I was thoroughly spoilt, lots of lovely crafting goodies, my friends and family know me too well! I received Hero Arts, Sugar Nellie and Penny Black stamps, a wonderful Russian Doll stencil set and too many cd's and dvd's to mention. My fav pressie of all was a Wii Fit, my lovely daughter Amy gave me a Christmas Eve pressie, haven't had time to play with it, but have wanted one for ages so am excited to get started. Have braved the sales in Brighton, the girls had lots of vouchers and Xmas money that were burning holes in their purses, so a few bargains were got.

Have just finished 32 thank-you cards for Jessie and Georgia. I was in charge of cutting and sticking whilst they stamped, my fingers hurt but am itching to play with my new stamps and will post some challenges later today. Again, I can't wait to use bolder brighter colours and papers, experiment with some new promarkers that were brought for me. Hope your all enjoying the break and I am so looking forward to seeing all of your new creations, pop back later if you can as I will post some cards, hugs Heidi xxxx

My last family Christmas Cards

Have at last finished the cards, yippee! Here they are as promised. I have just kept them quite simple, Amy loves penguins, Jessie the mouse and fairies are Georgia's favourites. Am gonna start next year's in January, one of my new year's resolutions is to get organised, after all I am a Virgo and that is our thing! Anyway, I will agree to anything after a glass of wine or three! Have at last changed my photo, my hair has grown so long and has changed colour about four times since that last one. Also have loaded a wonderful piccy of my lovely girls that was taken this evening. The five of us all went out for a lovely Christmas meal, and I am glad that I managed to get at least one normal picture of them, without Georgia pulling a funny face, Amy and Jess in pout mode or David wearing the table flower, beer glass in hand! Well, am off to have a large coffee, the head is beginning to hurt, as the waiter decided to give me a pint glass of wine, he obviously thought I looked harrassed/worn-out or both or he expected a large tip! Anyway, hope you like the cards/photos. Will be back tommorrow (head permitting lol!) to complete a challenge or two, night night, sleep tight xxx

Am I ready, am I heck!!

No challenges today sorry, will be completing one or two tommorrow, if I can find the time. Am still trying to get organised for Thursday, how do people do it, they must be super-human! I still have all of the pressies to wrap and not much time to wrap them in as the girls are now home for the holidays..... Well the schools broke up today, bit of a sad day for us. A wonderful teacher called Mr H left today to take up a post at a secondary school (brave man!). He was a super teacher to Jess and great joke teller, will miss his sick jokes and cheerful smile every day..... Took Georgia to the local panto tonight, oh no you didn't, oh yes I did (sorry, had to get that one in). It was Aladdin with 3D flying carpets, snakes and boulders, great stuff! We had to ofcourse, buy the yearly light-up twirly thing, which cost a fortune, god I am beginning to sound like scrooge, hope I get some Christmas spirit soon, if not the liquid sort, ha ha. Well have a good weekend ladies, hoping your preparations are going better than mine, please pop back tommorrow as I will be uploading some more cards and maybe a challenge or two xxxxx

From our house to yours!

Hi ladies, hope all of your Christmas preparations are going well? I woke up thinking bah humbug today, what a bad mood I was in! Thank goodness it went soon after as I had to make a mountain of sarnies for Georgia's class for their Xmas party. I have finished pressie buying and have some small shops to complete and then I am done, just the wrapping to do. Have attempted to do some this morning, but have had a puss called Molly walking all over the paper, and purring so much that I haven't been able to concentrate, so haven't achieved too much today! I have made lots of cards for family and friends and here are a few to show you. Kept them quite simple and used up lots oddments, so am very pleased with the results, hope you like them? Also a big welcome to Blogland for my dear cousin Maree in Perth, Australia. She has just started blogging and I can't wait to see what beautiful creations she comes up with, welcome Maree, hurry up with those challenges hun xxxxx

So sorry for not blogging for what seems ages, but is in fact a week, have been up to my eyes with Christmas bits, card making, present buying and attending the yearly school shows. The Bug Blues!

Firstly, big thanks to Debbie for the award, very kind of you to think of me. Have still to add this and the other two to my blog. Haven't been able to blog for a while, sorry ladies! Have been nursing two of my daughters. My eldest Amy, has a chest infection and is very poorly and is stuck in bed and secondly my youngest, Georgia was off of school with a sickness bug yesterday. I sent her back today, and was called to pick her up earlier as she had been sick at school. What a month, first of all Jess with the cough thing, then me and now the other two. Luckily, David is bug-free but is now away on a mega trip abroad leaving me with sick kids and a dodgy washing machine. Deep joy! Nevermind, Christmas is coming and I am getting into the spirit of things by wrapping pressies and making my cards. Must do some challenges as am getting itchy fingers, hope all of you are well, speak soon xxxx

High School Musical was great!!

No cards/scrapping today, went to see 'High School Musical' with my daughter and her friend and had a great time. What a show! It was fantastic, I am a big lover of the theatre anyway, but they sang/danced and interacted with the audience big time. They were last minute tickets and we had just the best seats. Have kept the tickets and streamers and will be doing a HSM layout for Georgia to remember such a great evening. Glad to have Amy back from her college trip to France and 'The Somme'. On another note, RIP Lilo Jones - nineteen years ago today, I lost my dear Mum to breast cancer, missing you Mum wherever you are xxxx
